Did we not have a black lad on trial. I'm sure it was mentioned on a previous thread. Maybe a youngster. It's maybe him. I don't think it's bauben but could be wrong.

Doesn't look the like the boy that was on trial. We only took 24 players down and he wasn't one of them so potentially buaben has just joined up down there. Never know May be involved tomorrow if true

The guy that was on trial had short , spikey dreads I think.

It doesn't look like the same guy.

The boy we had on trial was a young guy from Nigeria.

Wiki says that Prince Buaben is 5ft11.

This guy looks like he might be taller than that.

Explain? Was a decent player at United alongside Gomis, and more than good enough for the Championship.

Just my personal opinion, when ever I've seen him he hasn't been great. But if he does end up with us I hope I'm proved very wrong!!

Always thought Bauben was better than Gomis. If CL has got him on trial with Robbie having a look at him I'm happy with that.

May explain my post 2 weeks ago when I arrived in Edinburgh Airport and thought it was him and his burd going into the airport. Him and Gomis worked well together at the Arabs and I would think they would give the team some real steel in midfield with some creativity. Certainlt can't see that creativity in the Rangers or Hibs team so far

If he's no injured, or no longer on our radar, then I'd expect him to play.

That's a really strong team for the championship which will create lots of chances, my only concern is I don't thing we have a prolific goal scorer in the squad like the rangers have. I honestly think we have a far better starting 11 than the rangers but a Miller or a Boyd type player would give us goals.

Spoke with the laddie this morning, who is down in Manchester working, saying he spoke with a few of the players yesterday after their training session and they expect a couple of new players to join them on trial when they return home after the game today.

He watched the team train yesterday and couldn't believe the length of the sessions RN was demanding from the players but he said the players where enjoying the new training schedule. He was very very impressed with RN and SC's coaching technics and says we can expect a quick attacking team this season as all the drills where based on quick passing and moving and shifting the ball from one side of the park to the other with midfield player breaking through in front of the forwards.

Patterson and McHattie spent long spells at training overlapping, getting to the bye line and drilling balls into the box.
