Anyone seen the film below. Had it recommended to me by my nephew. I do love a stupid humour film.

That film is a work of genius.

And, sadly, prophetic.

Well his memes and gifs are top class, so I’ll give him the benefit. He’s probably starred in a few films himself 😜

The Beekeeper

Jason Statham in maybe his most Jason Statham film yet. Look, this is mindless violence and you know what you will get before it starts.

However, the time flew by, the scumbags in this absolutely deserved the carnage coming to them, and I really, really enjoyed this.

If you enjoy Statham's films there is an excellent chance you will enjoy this. If you don't, not sure why you're watching it anyway 😉

8.5/10

Started watching this last night, but passed out after about half an hour. Not because it was crap, just knackered. Love a Jason Statham film, you know what you’re getting. Was really enjoying it too. Back on it tonight.

The Royal Hotel

Watched this today. I've done bar work in my time, worked in some really horrible places. This film gets it spot on and is very realistic, glad to be out of that

Finished it, another cracking Jason Statham. I can understand why some folks don’t get it, but you just need to disengage your brain and enjoy it for what it is.

Statham back on form

Martin.

8/10.

I've not seen this in years but I reckon it's a really good take on the Vampire story, a George A. Romero film, his favourite of his apparently, from 1977.

7/10 for me, some bits of it didn;t add anything to the film for me

Spoiler

the replacement beekeeper dying so quickly seemed pointless. i also could not stand the mercenary at the end, they were walking about with guns while at a party with the president yet no one says anything.

6-10. I would think if you are a racing/car buff you might rate it higher though.

Weird black comedy with annoying characters that just gets darker and darker.

Barry Keoghan is good in it but I saw way more of him than I ever needed to.

The Expendables 4

As I have stated before I enjoy movies where the good guys beat the shit out of the bad guy’s. Story is secondary to me.
Plus, Jason Statham movies got me through a dark period health wise a few years ago so I continue to show loyalty to him and his genre.

Ending was needlessly pretty extreme , went from a feel good classic to a saw movie

Watched American Pie at the weekend , brought back some heavy nostalgia from my early high school years, then the reality hits that the movie is 25 years old and cracking on and on the subject of cracking , Nadia had a special place in my heart in those days.

Dont make comedy like that anymore.

Firstly mrs described it as her worst cinematic experience, contant chatter, popcorn throwing, folk moving about and mobile use. Because the film uses a lot of Jamaican Patois it was really hard to follow in the circumstances. (Cineworld Fountainbridge)

We had really looked forward to this, so it was a big let down. Probably would have enjoyed more at home with subtitles. There were a few stand out moments, for example Marley singing Redemption song to the kids. However didn't get anything new from it and anyone who doesn't know his story as well as we do, will be scratching their head at parts.

His murderer, Danny Baker, does appear

American Mary 4/10.

Watched this on the back of rave reviews on this horror site I check out on Facebook.  A medical student specialising in being a surgeon, takes on body modification work to earn money cos she's struggling trying to get through med school.  Film.then goes gory after girl is attacked and takes revenge on the perp. Absolutely shit, starts off well but quickly turns awful, not even the girl from the horror movie ginger snaps, can save this

We had a Cineworld Unlimited membership, but stopped going because of this. It really is the worst cinema in Edinburgh for folks constantly ####ing about.
