Poor Show !

Have you answered my points? Where's the abuse? Show me the abuse? The poster was trying to put words into my mouth so to speak. So I questioned his mind reading abilities. Did I say anything about trying to justify the songs in question? As I have said previously folk on here know my views on the songs and I feel no need to justify my postition to anyone.

There's a shock.

If it's irrelevant why mention it?

Because someone stated that Hearts were purely a Protestant club so i thought it worthy to point out we have different religious beliefs among our support.

I wasn't stating that I care about that on match days.

Oh grow up.

Someone pointed out the childish nature of your post, and you buckled.

You didn't like it so you started throwing abuse.

Irrespective of the size of crowd, or atmosphere, the songs are not required.

There is no real way of dressing it up as anythign else.

So give up trying to defend it.

Emm have I missed something here...

I think Speedbump was being perfectly reasonable. He was asked a question about the songs and stated they would leave that to others. Considering how these threads usually go that is rather a sensible option IMO.

There has been some serious abuse thrown about on this thread. As far as I can see none of it has been from Speedbump. In fact most of it has been from those trying to take the higher ground.

As was pointed out earlier...:P

Bloody hell! Haha. The photos are hilarious. I wasnt aware they had made a new "the hills have eyes" film! Wonder if they know a banjo version of their songs? You only have to look at them to know they are ******.

Let me tell you that all members of Robbos Loyal have houses and jobs.

They also form the greatest supporters bus hearts have ever had! :P

Loyalist is another ball game in my eyes.

Agree totally EM, I wasn't trying to lecture in any way, I was just trying to get some insight into the mindset of those involved (mainly because of something either one or two of them posted earlier, which confused me a little).

And apologies for the delay in responding, it was back to work today after a week of lounging about doing bugger all.

Did they? Show me the post. I haven't seen it.

There's an awful lot of revisionism on here.

You can agree or disagree with its relevance or desirability but to deny that there is/ was a sectarian rivalry between the two Edinburgh teams is sheer blindness for the sake of it.

Hearts are a protestant and a British club, therefore, we should be able to sing Rule Britannia etc. There is nothing bigoted or sectarian or racist about it.

How would you feel if you were booed while singing Flower of Scotland?

An ignorant and shameful post based upon nothing but brutal ignorance that brings nothing but scorn and shame on the club.

Hearts is for everyone regardless of race religion or nationality.

That Bebo is a bit weird!

They seem to have some sort of rivalry with 'Kickbackers' for some reason!

First of all the game was totally pathetic, however, some of the songs from the support was pi** poor. They included from a small section of the support, lower tier.

-Rule Brittania

-big jock knew (Dead Original)

-The Billy Boys

-Oo aa **** The 'ra

-fly the union jack

If only more fans joined in.

Loyalist (join the orange lodge and celebrate it)

Irish Republican (join some marching band and celebrate it)

Protestant (get yourself along to the Kirk and celebrate it)

Roman Catholic (get yourself along to mass and celebrate it)

Jewish (get yourself along to the Synagoge and celebrate it)

Nationalist (Join the SNP and vote for them)

Unionist (Join the tories and vote for them)

Socialist (Join the Labour party or whoever and vote for them)

Communist (wave a red flag and remember the old days)

Me, i may be more than one of the above, but come Saturday at 3pm i am a Hearts fan and i do not know what any of the above have to do with supporting my team.

IMO football songs about my team or rivals will help drive my team on, not some songs which have nothing to do with football.

I have no problem with any Hearts fan next to me being any of the above as long as he leaves those beliefs behind for 90mins and gets right behind the Heart of Midlothian FC by belting out Hearts football songs.

He can then go and celebrate his beliefs (wether i agree with them or not) at an appropriate place as listed in above brackets.

Points in Red Gambo :nono:

Good on the boys for making an effort I say. When the team are that bad then you often need to make your own entertainment. Sitting there in silence certainly doesn't do it for me.

Hearing The Gorgie Boys was fantastic as well as the others they treated us to. One of the most rousing we have! :)

Mate. They didn't even stay, they went after the second goal.. Some "loyalists"

You don't have to be a moral crusader to have an issue with jakeys singing offensive songs under the guise of 'loyal' Hearts fans, Suss.

How many away games have you been to this season?

I believe from reports on here they have been to them all.

If you dont like their songs, sing louder than them. If you can create an atmosphere then im sure they will join in.

How many games do you need to go to before you're allowed to behave like a complete ****? What a bizarre justification.

They're not creating an atmosphere, they're creating trouble. They know it too, but they don't give a crap because they think they're having a good time and that's all that matters. Lovely.

Where did i try to justify this?

You were the one that took issue with their 'loyalty' not me. I simply pointed out they seem to travel to EVERY game HOME and AWAY.

If as stated this minority of 'troublemakers' (not my words) make some noise, surely all the thousands of moral cursaders at these cames should simply out sing them thus making them unheard.

You'll find that these supporters are the supporters that go to every game, be it in falkirk, easter road or across europe, you might disagree with there opinions, but there is no doubting that these muppets deserve credit for being true hearts supporters!!

Some on here say its ok to believe in anything you like, as long as you agree with them.

The people in question (if its the ones im thinking about) go to every game and were away for the pre season as well.

Maybe it's not what you believe personally, but you did bring it up. As others on this thread have done already.

I'm not sure they do travel to every game and it really makes no difference anyway. Doing something repeatedly doesn't make it more acceptable. That's why I said it was a very weird way to approach it.

You ever considered the notion that we might actually have a better travelling support if this lot weren't there peddling their crap and singing sounds about things they don't understand anyway?

Why would you need to find out?Do you not have anything better to do with your life?

These guys go to every home and away game and deserve credit for putting up with some pretty dire performances and for putting some atmosphere in to the ground where several thousand so called fans have failed to even raise a murmer.

No, you brought up the loyalty not me.

If its the people im thinking of yes they are at every game, if not then i cannot say. My approach, was pointing out they are more loyal to Hearts than many on here, as they travel to each and every game, the moaners do not. The moaners have the chance to go and outsing or educate them but choose not to mostly through apathy.

No, i dont believe our traveling support would be better if they were not there. When we are doing well we take large numbers, when not we dont, these people are their regardless.

No they don't they're an embarrassment. Why is it that we should give any form of credit to a bunch of morons who are hell bent on turning our great club into a hotbed of ignorance and intolerance. The sonner the club weeds these idiots out the better, i'd suggest that Bebo would be a good place for them to start looking.

The irony is that this thread is on the same page as a couple of threads about the brave lads who gave their lives to fight this sort of thing, yet here we have certain individuals defending their rights (under the guise of defending others rights) to sing racist filth like white is right and sectarian bile like hullo hullo.

I really despair.

i think that the peope in this thread should stop complaining on how they disapprove of the songs that some of the fans sing at the games, if the dont like them, then they can just ignore them, i just find it pathetic that nothing gets said to them at the time instead you's are all writing in threads like these slating the only fans that seem to have a voice
