My personal opinion is we should be given the opportunity to sell up to, give or take for segregation, 50%. But I think it’s reasonable that we sell sections at a time within a set timeframe. In reality, I don’t believe we will come close to selling the 50% no matter what day or time the game is played.

Looking back at the Gretna game, which is the only one I can think kind of compares, didn’t we get more sections as the date got nearer?
I appreciate that won’t be universally popular - I’m just saying it as I see it.

Deary me, can't see the wood for the trees.

The club has clearly requested the allocation in an attempt to halt the farcical situation where every season the old firm get exactly what they want. They've 100% done the correct thing whether we sell out or not.

In actual fact being blackmailed by the SFA to pay for any non sold tickets is what the real story should be about. Of course that narrative has not been set by the abomination that is the Scottish media.

Outstanding. I'll bet there's an additional few grand on the raffle as well.

Is that definite? I'd seen Craig Wilson tweet early after it was launched saying something like "£2k raised over the two options within an hour" and the total on the donation page was under that so assumed it was in addition to.

This is a fantastic effort by the Hearts fans. What a truly wonderful initiative and something we can be extremely proud of as a club.

How many other clubs would do this?

Keep up that rate of sales and we will sell those by the end of the week.
Not taking into account Big Hearts tickets . I reckon we will be around 19k by Sunday.

If this was the Saturday kick off I think we would have had alot less tickets available than we have now or sell out completely. I know of 3 season ticket holders that can't go as there sons are playing football Sunday so them and there son can't make it for kick off time. Luckily my lads team kick off at 11am so quick boost from Edinburgh to Hampden no probs. We have a very family orientated support. Rangers do not 80% are middle aged men.

That's pretty bad altering the quote from someone else and then commenting below didn't know this could be done. What I had said was that "Rangers do not 80% are middle aged men" I know several Rnagers supporter who are not bigots so the 100% that you quoted me as saying is not. Please don't quote me saying saying something that you have altered. Sorry if that a bit full on but don't agree with what you had done in altering the quote of a fellow poster.

FTFY stands for 'Fixed That For You'. It makes clear that the quote has been altered. It is generally used humorously to indicate someone has changed something (potentially significantly) for comic effect.

I agree with the bit in bold. I have tickets for me and my 9yr old but I'm still on the fence about going. Its going to take me 2hrs each way travel, Sunday 3pm kick off so get home at 7pm at best, later if extra time. I've the added challenge of her being a type 1 diabetic so she'll need insulin and food before we get home too so I'm thinking its probably more hassle than it's worth for me. Had it been a Saturday, wouldn't even get any debate about whether we went or not

That would still look quite poor from around the rest of the stadium, but honestly think we will shift them. Closer it gets, folks will see hardly any seats left and take the plunge, not wanting to miss out on a glorious Hearts victory.

G7 is sold.  G8 might hold 1-1.2k.  I think the club will donate these tickets to Big Hearts who will use the funding they’ve built to pay for transport and food and send some fans who otherwise would not have been able to attend.

We’ll shift the other 600-700 that I think would be left after that as per dots above.  Don’t think there are any other sections to be opened.

It’ll be a Hearts sell out.

They surely opened up G6 at the start of the sales? They started the east stand sales from the corners round. I think all our available tickets must be south upper

G8 won’t hold that mate.  The big sections hold give or take 900 seats. (Obv varying slightly per section )

As has been discussed the East Stand alone hold 12,800.  If you did 900 x 14 it’s 12,600.  That won’t be the exact amount but I’d think G8 may hold a few hundred.

We have around 2500 tickets left to sell. So there must be unopened sections or bits of sections not yet opened.

The Big Hearts stuff is incredible. They are a total credit to our club. Superb from everyone involved and will be a great experience for a couple of hundred families that otherwise couldn’t attended.

I thought this had been discussed extensively and the consensus was it was only the  front 3 rows and back 2 rows of many sections (particularly the East Stand) that had not been released yet.

Unless someone can say “Section X” or “Section Y” hasn’t been opened for sales then no one really knows for sure but I think we can assume that it is the front/back rows that make the majority of the numbers.

As a rough range guide - 3 bottom rows around the East stand will be in the range of 400-500 seats. The 2 back rows are 650-700.

This would start to get us into the ballpark figure of the 2-2.5k unsold that gets quoted (when you add the tickets still available on the Ticketmaster seat map to the front/back totals).
