They can moan all they like . Once they can be trusted again not to forge tickets or bring in numerous smoke bombs we can relax the procedures. The trouble is the Polis and the club both say it is up to the other party to sort this out neither is fully cooperating with the other. A few police inside the ground ejecting anyone doubling up would mean the ticket won't rescan so they can't get back in again. As doubling up is effectively theft how about an on the spot fine of £50 for the offenders? If the doubling up happens the turnstyle should be locked until the offenders have been dealt with. 3 manually controlled turnstyles and , far be it for anyone to praise the mob from EH7, cordon like at the Dunbar end outside. It is entirely in the club's interest to spend some cash to implement this as it is the club that would be clattered if any incident happened inside the ground. Shooter McGavin
1 hour ago, 1953 said: We don't need you and we don't want you! Simple enough you'd think but they still don't get it. There are a number of logical, simple reasons why their allocation is limited to 576 tickets, that just about any reasonable, civilised human being would understand. But they are a different breed, simpletons if you like, and it’s easier for them to pretend they’re some kind of oppressed victims in just about any scenario. We should exclusively charge them £100 a ticket, if they don’t like it then tough. They can reject them and we’ll just fill the entire Roseburn stand with our own. tian447
We should just publicly announce a Zero Tolerance approach for the next game(s) involving the Old Firm. If there is any incident or sign of trouble, such as flares, coins, bottles, or anything else thrown on the pitch, any ticket duplication or pushing through the turnstiles, or damage to the stadium, then that is absolutely it. They will receive nothing for the whole of next season. They are impossible to police, so let's start making them police themselves. If a group of wee ******s ruin it for everyone, they can sort it out themselves knowing the consequences. They are disgusting, low IQ vermin though, so it'll be difficult to get a statement out that they can comprehend, which goes in our favour; they won't be able to help themselves and we have a perfect excuse to cut their allocation to zero for next season. The police could 100% do a better job and back up the stewards more but the issue with going into a crowd that size and arresting people for setting off pyro is their fellow fans would then kick off escalating the situation and it would snowball into a full on rammy with police and fans, then we'd inevitably get hauled over the coals for "allowing" such a scenario to develop in our stadium in 2024. Honestly compared to the majority of countries with a really heavy handed approach to policing football fans we don't see too much genuine crowd trouble. We also aren't angels ourselves especially against that lot with sectarian chanting from certain sections, plus our own away fans letting flares off etc. If our stewards are failing to do their job we should dump them and employ a better firm to do the job. As for it kicking off, imagine how things would be if the police refuse to arrest criminals simply to avoid trouble, just get a big crowd and rob a bank secure in the knowledge the police won't arrest you incase it starts a riot. As for our own fans behaviour then hell mend anyone who is arrested and they should be banned from football for ever. If grown adults can't behave during a simple football match then society is doomed.

Yep. I hate both sets of the OF fans, but Celtic really are in a league of their own in terms of entitlement. I believe Rangers have broadly speaking took it in their stride, but the absolute indignation from the Celtic support that we would DARE reduce THEIR tickets is genuinely ridiculous. Because of supporter demand, the Roseburn is no longer wholly an away stand and we need the seats for overspill from the traditional home end. But more so, their behaviour as a fan base over the years has been atrocious and I do take a lot of pleasure in us reducing the ticket allocation for them. Sick of flares, coins, bottle, spit etc. fake tickets and biggotry. Maybe start policing themselves better and other clubs might be more willing to host them.
