I'd really like us to start giving players opportunities in their preferred positions though, we have decent squad depth now and there's no chance Atkinson would've put in a worse performance than Hill did in that 1st half tonight. I was hoping he would be the cover for Smith for rest of season but clearly not based on last night though I think he picked up a knock early doors that hampered him. I did wonder last night whether illness caused the obvious lethargy throughout the team last night. Guys who are usually very energetic eg Cochrane looked like they were hauling a bus at times last night. Maybe it was just the pace that Rangers played at but who knows?
