Could go either way really but they seem pretty confident. Every man and their dog knew we were after Forrest. As for seeming confident, there are no stakes here. It isn't an actual journalist. They'll just delete the tweet and continue posting shite like they did when they claimed Jake Hastie was signing for us. People will continue to believe them because they've been "spot on before" (i.e. about the same number of times someone who is guessing might be). Or would that only be possible if we changed competition, i.e. EL to ECL? I know a lot of fans prefer Tynie, but we could secure a shedload of extra cash for new players (and more bonuses for current players) if we get 2 huge teams - And so do the players. Securing extra cash is pretty short-sighted imo, we want to give ourselves the best possible chance to progress and being at Tynecastle gives us that. Your mate's entitled to his opinion obviously, that's what the game's all about. Doesn't seem like he's the slowest CH in world football though ("slower than Aaron Hughes"). Ideally, we'd get the players we want in fairly soon, preferably at least one striker before the league starts, but playing the first few games with what we've got then getting in who we want would be better in the long run than signing a bunch of players we don't want now and then playing the whole season with them. Spot on. We all know what happens when you start signing players just because they're available. We are now much more focused in our recruitment and will take whatever time needed to get the right players.

RustyRightPeg
Reckon this is what we’ve been waiting for before we make our big moves. I’d imagine, Savage will be in the know with Hickey’s reps as to where and when he’s moving and planned accordingly. I’d imagine the Shankland and Ronan moves will happen shortly now. CloustonHMFC
Take the money from Hickey sale, give 50% of it to Everton for Simms, 25% as a sign on fee direct to Simms and get him up to Edinburgh pronto. Then give the other 25% to Wolves for Ronan.
LarrysRightFoot
Re Ronan if the deal is only a loan - surely he would pick us. Jambo92
Hickey money will be unaccounted for by Hearts, so hopefully it goes straight in the pot for buying the next Zidane. Leisham38
Given the mention of the Japanese market in January I’m surprised we haven’t been linked with any players from that league again? Can’t be just the one player we identified over there. That player Tsuyoshi Ogashiwa has only managed less than 30mins football since his Hamstring injury and is back injured again. Think the ship will have sailed with him given the fees being discussed at the time
