What a farce, whats his agent doing about all this.

His agent obviously buys into the OF way of doing things and thought we'd crumble under the pressure to sell. Instead he put his client in an awkward situation.

His agent is Jackie McNamara so well versed on the arse cheeks ways of doing business with other Scottish clubs.

Probably running off to the bank with a big sack of cash (with a pound sign on the side of it for good measure)!

...you do have to wonder what JS makes of all this.

Rangers did this with Jamie Walker. Woo-ed the guy and told him how much they wanted him then refused to walk the talk by paying what he was worth at the time. When their tactics failed they left Walker in an untenable position at Hearts. They're tactic seems to be if they get the player, great, but if not then they seem happy to have just disrupted a rival. No idea how they're allowed to keep getting away with it.

Hopefully the last time we do business with that prick.

Wonder what it feels like to be signed not for your own worth but for the sole intention of spiking your current employer? He'll regret not going south.

Yep. Especially when he probably watched Rangers game from the weekend and knows how shite their defence is and how he and Rangers both know he'll improve them immediately.

Easy - just switch the fax machine off and go to bed. We should do nothing that jeopardizes our chances of third place.

Ask Dundee for a loan of their E Mail server. Any contact from Rangers will be lost and nobody going anywhere. Simples

Should be entirely off the table now imo barring a stupid bid.

Play ball and negotiate up until last Friday, after that we should have said no more offers welcome imo.

They've had plenty time already.

This. It should be 1m or nothing now, with - as someone else suggested - a deadline put on it today that allow us to bring in someone else before the transfer deadline.

Rangers won't punt him. He's been brilliant for them.

Difficult to answer. Jack's struggled for fitness for a good while, and central midfield is probably the best part of our team. He's undoubtedly a great player but injuries and upsetting what we already have, not sure if it would work out.

Replacement for Haring assuming the rumours are true and he isn’t staying beyond the summer?

Is Ryan Jack any more keen to come to Hearts than TRFC are to stump up a fair price for Souttar?

Ryan Jack is a decent player, we shouldn't turn our noses up at decent players even if we already have quality in that position

I think yes.

Good player.

If Haring isn't extending then jack is a fantastic signing.

I never rated him that much but last few seasons he's been good.

Would be suprised if we can afford him.

Won't go down well on here , but he's as good or better than what we have.

Haring could be leaving in the summer as well.

Probably end up at Aberdeen tho.

If Aberdeen get him and Johnson from Celtic on loan they'll come out of this window strong.

£300k + Ryan Jack and I'd bite your hand off. Never happening, though.

right now no. If Peter Haring doesn’t stay then yes we do and it looks likely he is going to go.

Will Jack get a game for them with Ramsay signing?

Funny if Ramsay spends all his time in Scotland on loan injured

Sitting alongside Jack and Souttar in the treatment room.

Jack is 30 in a month, and is injury prone, the days of signing rejects like this from the uglies are long gone thankfully.

I believe Haring has stated that he wanted to wait until the season was near complete to make a decision - fair play to him, it's probably his final career decision to make.

Ryan Jack? Certainly a decent player in the past but thankfully we don't sign injury prone older players any more.

For me the best scenario is keeping Souttar and watching him break Aaron Ramsey's leg on Sunday.

He's better than what we have.

As a few have mentioned his injuries are a concern tho.

Neilson is well aware that things can change quickly on deadline day, and confirmed that the Jambos are looking at available centre backs just in case they do have to replace Souttar before midnight.

But if it even comes to that, then it will be the only incoming business they do.

“It’s the same as it’s been for the last week, there’s been no more offers, nothing,” said Neilson. “John didn’t train today, he’s got a wee ankle knock but he should be available for tomorrow night.

Beni and Jack together would be brilliant.

Going off topic but looking at Jack's career and Beni's then right now a fit jack is better.

Beni, Devlin and Haring are good, 2 of them may improve as well but I'm not going to deny that a player like Jack, one who until injured was in about the Scotland squads and played in Aberdeen and rangers sides hardly out of the top 3 is not a good player.

He's not a glamorous name, but he's a very good player.

His age and injury history as a few have mentioned make it more of a risk tho.

Probably nonsense anyway, he'll be on more than we can afford.

Sucking some rangers directors dick while getting his jolly’s on how much he’s annoyed hearts fans would be my guess.
