Might sound shan but if he doesn't go in January a phantom injury for a few months may be the way to play it but we will need another CB. I would try get the boy who left St Johnstone but isn't playing for Wigan. Edited January 9, 2022 by Robbies Tackle

The worst thing is when they openly court the OF or play silly games to force a move, which Souttar hasn't, or they play as well as they did at Hearts but suddenly become superstars in the eyes of the press and automatic first-picks in the eye of Scotland managers. Wouldn't be surprised if the latter thing happens with Souttar if he moves west. Spot on. Also if he goes to Rangers and does well he could bypass the English Championship and be bought by PL team. jimbojambo
If we had given Souttar a 3 year deal in the summer and he then had got crocked fans would have went berserk. I say cash in now while he is fit and in demand as he could get injured in training tomorrow and would be a liability. I hope he goes to Blackburn and we get an EPL bonus when they go up. From Rovers point of view a million is nothing to invest now if it gets you up to the top league and £140 million bonus that brings. He's a really good guy and he deserves to make some cash for his future.

Gorgie_Rules
If he signs a pre-contract with Rangers we should let him rot until the summer without selection. I suspect we’d take a piddly undisclosed £200k and he’d go asap though. I’m behind the idea that he deserves his crack at a big money move with his injury record, but the club has also done more than enough for the guys career to not be slapped in the face by him going west. Tynecastle Valhalla
He has a lot of ability for a defender but defensively he can be suspect and isn’t exactly mr tough guy back there commanding respect and putting fear into opposition strikers such as Pasquale Bruno. he wants to go to England and there’s at least four big champ clubs that can pay him over £10 k a week and with money to pay hearts now. good luck to him and hope we can negotiate a sell on clause if he goes to rangers then that’s a different story ! henryheart
He has missed 3 competitive fixtures this season and we kept clean sheets in them all. Him going is hardly the worst thing that could happen, but the club has to let him and Rangers know who is boss, after all we have supported him through recovery from injury and it is him rather than Hearts who owe the favours. Rangers have to cough up the dosh, big time, or else he stays and he plays because that is what he is paid to do. If his form is not up to standard then he is dropped, and out the window goes his World Cup chances.
