Thanks again Craig Gordon or yesterday would have been another draw.

With batshit logic like that you must also consider what if Popescu hadn't gifted them the penalty?

Yes, having a goalkeeper in the team is a definitive plus. I would recommend it.

And we won despite Popescu selling the jerseys and GMS missing two sitters.

Why are you desperate to find negatives to spoil a Hearts win?

We’ll have another goalkeeper who very possibly might not be so good but should still make saves.  However, there are other positions in the squad that will hopefully be improved in the next window and others in subsequent windows. You judge a team on the sum of its parts. Some parts will always be better than others.

Eh...he's part a 'team' everyone plays a part. What if Halliday hadn't scored or if GMS hadn't made the assist for the second..."it would have been a draw"

After last year's "backie-in" experiment with Joel failing so badly I would concur 😃

Huge win on Saturday. Some folk were bigging up Dundee. Now it's all ifs and buts. What if this had happened? What about that?

What do they do, go back to Raith Rovers. Big them up again?

Sometimes what you see is what it is.

It was a very important game on Saturday. Dundee were decent but we were worthy winners. Great to see two up top and the midfield worked way better. Big step in the right direction.

Raith, Dundee and Dunfermline have all been championed on here, QoS next.

Just checked the squad, thankfully it looks like someone thought of this scenario already, there’s another goalkeeper so I think we’d probably play him

Ah, indeed. Then up to Inverness on Friday.

Hearts aside, I doubt they’ve got the squad to deal with all the fixtures ahead of them. Other teams in the same boat though. Play off spots up for grabs for just about any side that manages 3 wins in a row.

Might not have changed things but Cathro should have been joint or assistant to Levein for the rest of that first season to bed him in.

Anyway...

Definitely, or just Levein or Robbo as caretaker and tell Cathro the job's his if he can wait until summer. I think by then Cathro was believing the press about him though and wouldn't have accepted that. He'd decided it was time to be a manager and crazy as it sounds it seems like he was a serious contender for the Rangers job.

Lots of poor judgement from Levein and Cathro in that whole affair. Even worse was Levein giving him free reign to rip up a stable and well-performing team and attempt to change the style of football in January, instead of just adding a couple of signings and a tweaking some things, then doing a bigger overhaul in summer. The likes of Djoum and Walker weren't the same players that season after being brilliant in the first half. Old news as you say.

The curious case of GMS. When he broke onto the scene he was 'unplayable'. With years of experience he seems 'unable to play'.

I still have high hopes. He was a gifted youngster

I watched his highlight reel just after we signed him and it reminded me of how skilful he was and how much ability he had. He certainly had that something extra. I actually talked his signing up to a number of Hearts fans who were sceptical. I’m regretting that at the minute.

You'll be gutted if this thread says "eight" later on today.

Ruin your Saturday night slaver fest if that happens.

So many folk on here wanting to **** up, it's amusing now.

Although, a draw allows both sides to go tonto, you and the brains trust can rip Hearts, Budge and Robbie. The happy clappers can say we are 8 unbeaten.

Gutted, aye. Imo.

If we win, you'll say we are doing our job.

If we get beat, you'll be across multiple threads slavering carpet bombing them along with the rest of brains trust repeating the same jobbies as per.

Legend is a bit OTT, I see myself more of a sewer.

I try to keep all the shite contained and treat it-  with sprinkles of positivity and humour.

Unfortunately, with the amount of shit that gets pumped in on here it becomes a struggle to contain it all at times.
