The forward, 20, will go straight into their squad for Tuesday's League Two fixture at Exeter, but is cup-tied in the Checkatrade Trophy. He has previously spent time on loan at Fleetwood, Oxford and Dagenham & Redbridge, and Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth said: "Alex is a player I've seen a lot of at Under-21 level and in senior football. He's someone who I believe will suit the way we play. "He's quick, he's got a good eye for goal and he's willing to work hard for the team. Hickey is a very good young Scottish player with a big future ahead of him. Currently, however, there are areas he could improve his game. In terms of current ability and value to to the team he won’t be hard to replace. I’d rather we took a more long term view than bringing him back for a year.
