He's 37 and third choice keeper. Future probably already been decided. Obviously an in house joke.

Loads of folk getting all uptight. One guy wanting the PFA involved. Embarrassing stuff.

I get that the world is in a bit of shit, but people are still allowed a sense of humour!

The keeper in question is a good lad and is fully in on the joke!

Scottish football really not showing its best side throughout this whole thing. Livvy - a club that has so little respect for football traditions it moved to a completely different town and changed its name, and then went bust twice.

Of all the clubs you'd think would not mock another club getting into danger... what absolute arseholes.

A feckin glorified junior team.  Plastic pitch and about 50 regular fans.

There time will come.

I can't wait to read what SPFL excuse to UEFA is for ending the league.  Government enforced or Financial seem to be 2 main legal reasons.  Not a forced resolution vote.

I think they have to formally write their reasons for ending the season.  Not that it matters to us now, it's ended.

Guys at this level will really struggle to get a full time contract at any club.

I wonder how the championship meeting went. No doubt there will be some negative spin on it from the Daily Record soon.

We are better of getting used to the championship if teams can’t play 3-0 win for us plain and simple. Be interested to make Tynecastle the hub and gather more money from the SPFL.

Barnsley now threatening the EFL with legal action against their relegation. Won’t be the last club to do so IMHO.

This is good news

We are looking to get some hard cash in plus the championship is looking like it’s only going to be 27 games we will back in no time and stronger.

Did anybody else listen to the BBC podcast today?

Gordon Strachan was on basically calling out how tin pot football is in this country. Saying plastic pitches are an embarrassment, the games are complete rubbish and we have part-time clubs paying part-time players less than £100 a week and branding themselves professional.

Said if you can’t afford to play with a real pitch and with full time players then go away and play in the junior leagues and let the teams who are actually trying to further the game have access to the cash being wasted on these “community clubs”

Im paraphrasing a lot but he actually spoke a lot of sense, I know hard to believe eh.

He was also giving Dick Young a good ribbing at every single opportunity which was tasty 😂

Championship has an issue with it's own Financial Fair Play rules and how clubs may get round them.

Barnsley are correct that any punishments should apply to this season.

Surely Hearts are the most only team currently in Championship who operate above 1/3 of capacity anyway.

Why would Hearts agree to such nonsense? If we are being expelled then surely it has to be to a fully functioning division.  If clubs cant afford to pay players go amateur or drop down to a lower league and let a club that can afford to play take their place..

At least it seems we are focusing on next seasons football. The court case for reperations should run along side our football planning.

so teams with shite support in first place want at least 1/3 of that support allowed in and if no Hearts fans go to away games that would be interesting

The alternative will be no football until January.  The proposals are actually to help hearts believe it or not.

I listened, Strachan was quite insightful, saying that some clubs had no desire to progress, paying £80 per week. Chick Young dived in saying that clubs could not be culled, Strachan responded by saying that they were not professional and 40% of Scottish clubs could not survive in the conference in England. He said that clubs would not have to cease, just find their level. Let community clubs continue as such.

He said that more should be done to sell the game to a wider audience and generate more funds, get the derby games played not interested in Livi vs hamilton (it might have been someone else) playing on plastic pitches.

There was a discussion about Chick's retirement presentation 4 years ago....and he is still here, which shut him up.

Didn't he want clubs to abuse the system? by giving these players another years contract then placing them on furlough scheme even if clubs didn't want the players?

Kenny McIntyre, I think, said “he’s a national treasure” and Strachan’s response was “Aye, he should be buried for prosperity”

Tickled me.

Latest from the red tops - Record's wack Jacko's Article:

SPFL line up showdown summit as Hearts Championship talks drag on for THREE hours

Scotland’s 10 second tier clubs held mammoth meeting on Monday as Ann Budge prepares to show her hand.

League bosses are set to call an emergency board meeting in the next 48 hours to discuss the next step in the crisis facing Hearts.

Record Sport understands SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster will call the meeting on Wednesday or Thursday of this week after another dramatic day of video conference calls on Monday pushed the relegated Tynecastle club closer to a nightmare scenario of being locked out of football’s big restart.

All 10 Championship clubs met online for more than three hours into the afternoon as they attempt to thrash out a way for Scotland’s second tier to survive the coronavirus pandemic.

And, as we revealed on Sunday night, the majority of them remain resigned to being unable to afford to start the season behind closed doors.

A number of them do believe, however, the season can begin as soon as a the government allows a percentage of fans to get back into their grounds. And they are hopeful that could see the Championship slowly get back to business by October or November

But Record Sport can also reveal the safe return of supporters has not even reached the discussion stage as football and Holyrood attempt to agree on a potential pathway out of the other side of the Covid-19 lockdown.

Those conversations will gather pace on Tuesday when Scottish football’s Joint Response Group officially hand over to government an action plan, in which detailed proposals as to how to get the national sport back up and running will be mapped out.

But, while these phased stages will centre around how players can get back to training and then return to playing matches behind closed doors, there is no plan for how and when supporters might be allowed back in through the turnstiles.

A Championship representative said: “The clubs had a good, productive conversation and we all want to find a solution to the obvious problems we face in starting next season.

“None of us think it’s a good idea to shut the division down until the new year. But, at the same time, there’s a realisation that a large number of the clubs will be in no position to play on behind closed doors.

“The feeling is, if we can get to a point when maybe 25 per cent of the stadia will be open to supporters, then we will be able to play. The hope is that could perhaps come some time by October or November but there’s obviously  so much uncertainty at this time.”

But that will do little to ease anxiety levels surrounding Hearts, following the controversial decision to relegate them from the top flight without completing season’s 2019/20 fixtures.

1_19162825.jpg

Owner Ann Budge had been expected to circulated a plan for league reconstruction following Monday’s discussions with the her nine Championship rivals but no new paper has been shared around Scotland’s 42 clubs.

But the SPFL board will be hoping that Budge does finally hand over her document ahead of their next crisis talks later this week.

One Hampden source told us: “The board will be briefed about the discussions between the Championship clubs on Monday morning. But they will also want to see exactly what Hearts are proposing because, for more than a week now,the expectation was that this new reconstruction paper would be produced as a matter of urgency.”
