It certainly is - but not a sectarian one.

Reading more of the comments it is clearly a joke - and seems now to be aimed at Hearts with all the 'respect the outcome of the vote and move on without legal action' shite.

Hearts fans take note.

Livingston official Twitter page has their Official Talk Livi Podcast cracking smarmy jokes aimed in our direction as we are being expelled from the league with their vote being part of it.

****ing wankers mocking us when we are in trouble.

Do you still really want to travel there and pay them gate money whenever we play them next away from home?

It's Livingston's Twitter guy's idea of banter. Taking the piss out of Hearts and the threat of legal action.

No he is having a dig at the Rangers Loyal tweet of voting no.

Still in jest or not in current climates its ill advised.

Scottish football really not showing its best side throughout this whole thing. Livvy - a club that has so little respect for football traditions it moved to a completely different town and changed its name, and then went bust twice.

Of all the clubs you'd think would not mock another club getting into danger... what absolute arseholes.

Can someone help me out having now looked at their Twitter account. What exactly is it they're having a dig at Hearts about there? It just seems like a very sad attempt at humour that only the person doing it seems to get is a joke. Everyone else needs it explaining.

How many fans do Livingston have? Let’s be generous and say 2000. And they are mocking Hearts. One day our ticket sales might be needed. Like I said, daft.

It's a pretty tasteless joke by Livingston voting on the future of one of their goalkeepers. He has probably already signed a new contract or has already agreed to leave.

The thing that isn't funny IMO is this might be a joke but an awful lot of players will not be getting contracts renewed or will lose their jobs in Scotland soon.

The post that is getting the most support and levels of amusement is the smarmy one from the Official Livi Pod cast twitter account - having a sneaky dig about Hearts possibly taking legal action because we don't agree with the votes.

It would be fair game and banter the comments insinuated comments about Hearts if it wasn't for the fact that the account tweeting 'appears' to be affiliated to Official Livingston twitter.

Livi clearly looking to get plenty green and white clad tramps through their gate next season.

League reconstruction is the SPFL's squirrel. They hope to drag it out until we get some sort of definite dates for restarting football then they hope everyone will forget about it and focus on watching football again.

Indeed and watch the SPFL fixture computer give Livi two home games against the Old Firm in 2021 when crowds are allowed again.

Are they laughing at folk dying in care homes too? There are jokes to be had in all this but not at the expense of people losing jobs, potentially losing the teams they've supported since birth, or worse. Dicks. Probably Millennials.

I'm all for a bit of humour, but this Livi tweet is pretty tasteless given the number of footballers who have already lost their jobs and will continue to do so over the coming weeks.

And just in case any Livi interlopers are looking in, you might care to note that the original SPFL resolution was defeated. The fact that the SPFL decided to pretend otherwise, is a scandal.

With any luck, Livi and the other witty clubs out there will vote against reconstruction, so that we can see how funny they think this is when the SPFL is dragged through the courts for several months and ends up costing them tens of thousands.

A successful legal challenge may well cost them tens of thousands. A boycott of their Lego stadium will cost them more.  We would maybe take around 10,000 there over 2 games if we were going well.  Even at a conservative average of £20 per ticket, there’s £200k.  That’s a lot of money for a club with no fans.

Over 50,000 votes so far with poll ending 6pm Wednesday

30,000 plus voting to give him a contract so far = 61%

It always amazes me how many brands big and small seem willing to hand their social media, ie a large part of their public image, over to talent-less, narcissistic folk in their 20s and 30s. Give it to someone with proper journalism or marketing training, not the youngest person in the building (which is what I imagine all social media people are going by a lot of their output). Apologies to any social media bod reading who doesn't fit that description.

Get the impression that this is going to be continually stalled. The only way forward is to take the initial steps to starting litigation proceedings. That might just focus a few minds.

Incorrect. It has to be submitted and backed in the next two or three days. Today’s conference call with the championship sides had nothing to do with the proposal.

I would think that each and every club is being spoken to, to get their opinion on what they see as acceptable before the proposal is tabled.

Clubs like Hibs, St Mirren and St Johnstone are apparently proving hard to deal with as they are currently ecstatic the way things stand for themsleves.

No point in putting a proposal on the table unless it has some kind of a chance.

I would think that the proposal / proposals are pretty fluid just now until this process is over.

Captain Canada

The noises coming out in the press this morning seem to suggest we might have no choice but to reconstruct based on the number of teams that will be able to play behind closed doors.

There's absolutely no way that Partick should go from having a game in hand to get off the bottom of the Championship to being in a mothballed league, through no fault of their own.

And, of course, no way we should be looking at no games in 9 months when we could play with no fans and survive financially.

To be published, suggests to me that it's to be there on record as an official document, to be voted on and not supposition of journalists  over Zoom calls. I think, that it'll have had some sort of endorsement from one or both of the powers that claim to be. And it's skipped the chatty stage altogether.

I don't think they've all sat down and said to Budge, that the thing we asked you to propose to us on conference call...we're now not bothered about, stick it in a memo.

Imo. Of course, it's all subjective. Which is fine.

Yup I would agree. Last time it was in discussion with Premiership clubs that it broke down so I do think it has progressed. If there was little chance getting the reconstruction through after a lot of discussion Ann has had with other chairmen, then I think it have collapsed by now.

I wouldn't have thought it likely but I do think there is a much bigger chancewe will see a 16 team league, with two 14 team leagues beneath, so Hearts and Dundee (as well as ICT and Ayr) can go up and play BCD games and means the rest of the league goes into hibernation until January.
