We have 12 teams in the Premiership. I count 11 votes...

Aberdeen and Rangers break ranks ?

3 teams left to vote, one in each of the brackets.

After reading some comments, I'm assuming the Championship team is Dundee.

Telling you right now the SPFL will be on the phone to whoever else they need making sure this goes through today.  Garaunteed that’s what’s happening right and that’s why they’ve not announced it yet.  Doesn’t take that long to count 42 votes or whatever.  Wouldn’t surprise me if they paid them to vote yes.  Bunch of incompetent corrupt clowns.

Deadline has passed surely?  They have sent someone back to think again?

They will just extend and pressure the remaining championship club to agree.

That was a deadline imposed by SPFL I read somewhere that under company law they could take 28 days

Abstention is the same as a No.  Possibly Rangers refused to engage and Aberdeen obviously voted Yes!!

THE SPFL BOARD MET THIS EVENING TO CONSIDER THE RESPONSES TO THE RESOLUTION SENT TO CLUBS ON 8 APRIL.

The SPFL Board met this evening to consider the responses to the resolution sent to clubs on 8 April.

As at 5pm, the SPFL had received 39 responses, 85% of which have been in favour, as follows:

Votes in favour

Votes against

Ladbrokes Premiership (nine supporting votes needed)

10

1

Ladbrokes Championship (eight supporting votes needed)

7

2

Ladbrokes League 1 & League 2 (15 supporting votes needed)

16

3

With three clubs yet to vote, the SPFL will issue further updates in due course.

A spokesman said: “It is very important that clubs consider carefully the resolution and we are grateful to those clubs who have voted already.

“With the Ladbrokes Premiership and Ladbrokes Leagues 1 & 2 divisions each having approved the resolution, we await the voting slip from the one Ladbrokes Championship club that has yet to vote. We will provide an update as soon as we are in a position to do so.”

Another tactic from the SPFL. I will bet my house on Hearts and Rangers having all ready cast their votes for no. More under handed tactics to try pressure the vote.

Just a minute - in only the most corrupt circumstances would the results of a partial vote be released before everyone has voted as that may have a material bearing or influence on the remaining voters

The SPFL May have just properly screwed up and made this unenforceable

Just a small point, but we will not be relegated, we will be expelled from the Scottish Premiership and be placed in the Scottish Championship, all due to a vote from other clubs in the league.

Relegation occurs when you either finish bottom of the league after 38 games, or lose in the pay offs.

Never forgive or forget.

:spoton:

Hopefully we actually hold a grudge about it too.

This is like playing The Rangers and the ref adding on 10 minutes injury time.

Doncaster has to go.

I assume we abstained so we can say we question the legitimacy of the whole thing. In reality it's the same thing anyway, they need a Yes and a No is the same as a No Comment.

If a club doesn't vote, or the vote comes in after 5pm, would that be counted as an abstain?

Saved by an abstention?  One club in the  Championship appears to have abstained or missed the deadline.  If they had just made this a straight 75% of the 42 teams this would have been passed easily.

They’re saying they await the last vote but it’s irrelevant.  Statement was 5.15, so already passed the deadline.

Votes are 7-3 in the championship. My source is guaranteeing me that it’s true.

Dundee, Partick and ICT

Some of the League 1 clubs must have had their arm twisted at the last minute.

Absolutely spot on mate. People still defending Budge and Levein baffles me. They have killed this club.

Yet they still do, bud.

I'd concede this isn't the thread for it but the anger I, and many, feel toward Ann Budge and Levein is very difficult to contain.

If Hearts and Rangers aren't tabling a motion of no confidence in Doncaster after this shit show I'll be raging.

The mans existence brings Scottish football into disrepute.

Definite grounds to challenge unless there is something we are all missing.

Apart from anything, quite simply we need people to work and businesses to operate in order for us to be able to afford to fund the NHS. The affects on people's health, physically and mentally, may be as bad as those of the virus itself. There is also evidence that people may be dying because they are not presenting at hospitals, for non Covid issues, because of the spread of infections there. How long do you think they can justify cancelling people's cancer treatment and other planned procedures and operations?  That's why it can only be a short term measure until the NHS gets over the initial peak then a phased return to normality will start imo.

I do admire your optimism.

The Championship side will be getting heavy pressure and if i was their chairman i would be recording any call from the SPFL.

Its a ****ing joke and rigged.

No way this doesnt pass as i bet its continued pressure or promises until they change their vote.

How is this allowed.

Either us or Rangers didn’t vote or didn’t vote on time

If you don’t believe a process is valid then voting in that process might take that argument away.

This feels like a Zimbabwe election process.
The league is 20% incomplete, Rugby season was voided.
Yet Celtic and their desire for 10 in a row (8.8 currently) and others voting for self preservation will see a grotesque end to a season.

They are also counting the current vote as 85% in favour.

It’s outrageous - the percentage has to be based on all teams in all leagues not just all teams that voted.

Now surely that will give us a legal challenge?!  That would be like Boris extending the polling station beyond 10pm!

They've changed the rules of their own vote to pass it?

THE SPFL IS STILL TRYING TO GERRYMANDER THE RESULT THEY WANT BY EXTENDING THE VOTING DEADLINE

Apologies for the "shouting" but it's deserved.
