JimmyCant
Joanne Shaw Taylor at the Queens Hall last night. Joe Bonamassa protege and an excellent set from a great rock/blues guitarist. Next I think is Andre Rieu at the Hydro which couldn’t be further apart in genre terms. Trying to get a Springsteen ticket without breaking the bank so hopefully my source comes through with a media pass.

As you can see, I was about 10 rows from the back. Very good gig, though a few people around me got a bit restless about an hour in. I also managed to be disappointed because of a couple of omissions, but with a back catalogue that size they're gonna disappoint somebody. whodanny
Having a dram, not long home after the Cure in Glasgow. Mesmerising show, loved it. What really struck me was, at 63 (same age as me) how well Robert Smith is singing. Maybe the best I've ever heard him. He's always talked about how he wanted to improve his singing, well it was breathtaking at times tonight. Magical !

Dawnrazor
The Damned in Leeds and New Model Army in Kendal. I nearly bought three tickets for The Arctic Monkeys in the O2 in Leeds, good job my son checked as he couldn't believe they were playing a venue that size as they're playing outdoor venues in the summer, turns out it The Antarctic Monkeys that are in the O2!
