Joanne Shaw Taylor at the Queens Hall last night. Joe Bonamassa protege and an excellent set from a great rock/blues guitarist.

Next I think is Andre Rieu at the Hydro which couldn’t be further apart in genre terms.

Trying to get a Springsteen ticket without breaking the bank so hopefully my source comes through with a media pass.

Heading home from Glasgow now.  Excellent gig and landed priority lounge tickets.

As you can see, I was about 10 rows from the back.  Very good gig, though a few people around me got a bit restless about an hour in.  I also managed to be disappointed because of a couple of omissions, but with a back catalogue that size they're gonna disappoint somebody.

Having a dram, not long home after the Cure in Glasgow. Mesmerising show, loved it. What really struck me was, at 63 (same age as me) how well Robert Smith is singing. Maybe the best I've ever heard him. He's always talked about how he wanted to improve his singing, well it was breathtaking at times tonight. Magical !

Can't remember if I mentioned Jools, but anyway...

...Jools Holland in the SEC Armadillo on Friday night.  Great gig.

Not bad.  I saw Hugh Cornwell on Thursday at La Belle Angelle.  Really enjoyed that gig and got some stuff signed after.

That’s the one I forgot about the Buzzcocks. Not sure who will be headlining.

From the Jam headlining supported by The Buzzcocks. Looking forward to it. FTJ are always excellent.

Yep, me too. Think this will be something like 20 years in a row. Taking out the Covid year obviously.

Seen From The Jam about 12 times, the last time in Edinburgh and I thought they were poor that night, the gig in the Barrowlands was much the same, and I'm a massive Jam fan so I'll give it a miss.

What's that venue like? I've got BJM tickets for February but worried I should have went to their Barrowland gig instead.

Surprised.

Seen them about 8 times and they have always been excellent.

Maybe Bruce is getting too old. 🙁

A bit like The Caves.  A couple of pillars limit views but its otherwise a good small venue.

The Damned in Leeds and New Model Army in Kendal.

I nearly bought three tickets for The Arctic Monkeys in the O2 in Leeds, good job my son checked as he couldn't believe they were playing a venue that size as they're playing outdoor venues in the summer, turns out it The Antarctic Monkeys that are in the O2!

Probably not exactly a gig... But just back from seeing Abba Voyage on London. Superb show. No idea what was going on but it looked amazing.

Got Suzanne Vega in February.

Then Peter Hook and the Light.

The Brian Jonestown Massacare - La Belle Angele, February
Peter Gabriel - Hydro, June
Let's Rock the 80s - Dalkeith, June
The Killers - Ingliston, August

Really want to go to both Depeche Mode and Billy Joel but those are London gigs, which doesn't half add a lot of cost on top of the ticket price.

The Rebellion Festival is looking good for me, The Exploited, The Damned, NewModel Army, Anti Nowhere League, The Meteors, Subhumans, D.R.I , Gay Bikers on Acid, Conflict Rubella, Ballet Hagar the Womb.

Also mlght go and see Balaam and the Angel, Incubus Sucubus and Rhombus in Morcambe, a few very good shouts for the Worst Band in the World thread in my list!!!
