What the eff are you on about????

:cornette:

That is what Indy Scotland would be doing during Covid? Creating a National Oil company?

THAT'LL BE A HUGE HELP MATE.

Do this for old Uncle Marty -  just admit you want independence no matter the how little you obviously know and how damaging it will be. At least then that'll be the truth.

Because it will. Like every other country on planet Earth borrows money.

By what means will they borrow money is what I meant. I’m not up to date with snp policy but wondered if you knew how they planned to raise cash.

The nationwide building society are not going to satisfy Scotland’s borrowing needs. If you don’t know the answer just say so. I’m not the enemy.

I’m not saying we can’t afford to go independent. I just asked if you knew by which method we’d borrow money. The trillion pounds doesn’t belong to us, it belongs to large plc’s. It might be difficult to get too much extra cash out of them because they have the means to base themselves elsewhere if taxation or business rates become uncompetitive.

Change your mind about what?  You clearly don’t  know the answer to a question I asked and respond  with irrelevant you tube clips  and a link to a left wing think tank favoured by the scottish Green Party and another socialist party and now seem to be adopting some sort of keyboard tough nut persona. I’m just glad acting like an absolute ***** isn’t prevelant among too many nationalists I know, most of whom can hold down a decent conversation.

Everything is irrelevant when you don't like the answers you're given.

Maybe you should buy a crab boat, like Fat Boris said today, you'll be minted.

NatWest do loans I believe.

It’s not that I didn’t like the answer, it’s that you didn’t give an answer. Are backhanded insults all you can manage or do you actually know anything about snp borrowing policy? It was a really straightforward question.

Why don't you read about Czechoslovakia splitting recently, or NZ pegging its money to the US dollar before creating its own currency in 1967?

Thats what you want to know right?

No. I was asking what the SNP’s policy on borrowing money was. I wasn’t asking about currency or how the two parts of  Czechoslovakia managed to separate its finances. I’d doubt if the SNP’s policy on borrowing money is the same as the British Tory government. I know issuing bonds is the way governments tend to borrow money but, as an example, I noticed the other day that the ns&i were looking to raise an unprecedented £40 billion from savers in the next year.

Can you answer the question or not?

I have never used the line you refer to and I dont know who invented it.

There is a sentiment that Scotland could not have coped with recent events without the union.

That's obviously not true as I'm sure you will agree.

Scotch Regional? Serious question - do you know what the snp policy on borrowing money as an independent nation is? You don’t need to tell me just a yes or a no will be fine.

Wealth creation needs attractive economic policies .

There is a free market case for independence .

No central bank the economy built on actual wealth.

I'm not sure many of those like me who want independence would advocate this approach.

What's this trillion pounds chat?

It was in reply to a video space mackerel put up with Mark Carney estimating the finance industry in Scotland was worth a trillion pounds.

I do but you dint grasp the concept of government owned banks raising money through deposit accounts. You don’t know the policy do you? Just admit it. I don’t know and that’s why I asked.

Money is debt. Look on every single note in your pocket, it says "promise to pay bearer on demand" Go on, have a look.

Every single pound in you pocket is a IOU to somebody.

Money is debt.
