Nonsense. It’s about time everyone realised that Levein had no idea whatsoever about how to set up an attack. Levein was perfectly capable of making a complete ****up  of a forward line that included Skacel, Robbo and Colqhoun.

Levein managed Watt? I always feel wingers have been Levein's blind spot rather than forwards. Can't think of one genuinely good one he's signed or developed.

In terms of forwards Levein signed or played a lot as manager, De Vries, Kirk, Lafferty, McKenna, Naismith and Fuller were or are all very good. Most recently, Uche, Naismith and McLean looked a promising front line until two of them got injured, as did Naismith and Washington, until they both got injured. But yeah, Steven McLean leading the line for god knows how long was not the best.

Not fazed.

The only shops in Edinburgh are tatty Scottish tourist traps, no police due to economy cuts and if he gets his car on the bypass he's not going over 30 mph

Made me laugh - but so true

And Neilson listened to all the crap that Levein spouted.

So Levein can take credit for the Championship title, then 3rd then heading for 3rd again?

What for?  Trabzonspor are massive though.

This looks like a great signing, he should rip Scotland apart 👍

This guy obviously has bags of talent so to get him for nothing halfway through the season certainly hints at some kind of issues somewhere along the line.

We've got to trust DS however. It looks as though he knows the player well and what he could bring in our current situation. He must be confident whatever issues can be worked through.

Good enough for me anyway!

59 goals in 53 games for Schalke's under 17s. 17 in 24 for their under 19's. Ended up on the bench for their champions league group stage against Chelsea. Liverpool were insterested in him and Schalke put a 41 million euro release clause on his contract.

I've watched his clips on youtube (yes i know)

We can never be sure but i honestly think he's a level above anything we've had since Rudi Skacel.

YouTube means **** all that could make McLean look deadly

Understandable.

There’s more of them on here this week than on their own poxy wee site.

You'll feel better the morn after a good kip, and a thumping Hearts Scottish Cup victory.

Now I’m not for one minute saying he won’t be, but where are these YouTube videos that make him look ‘deadly’

the ones I’ve seen haven’t been overly impressive.

I will of course trust the manager on this one if he does indeed sign for us.

That Omeonga boy is a very good player for the spfl to be fair.

Great signing for them unfortunately.

Stevie Melon is out for 2 months so a like for like player, thought he was not bad last time - decent enough for the wee team. They may scrape top 6 now

There's something familiar in the air about this Hibs team. It seems to have a very Butcher-like soft centre and a whiff of catastrophic post xmas slide about them. Ross took over in a similar league position, and started in a similar way. My Hibs pals are almost more nervous than me about the rest of the season, which seems weird considering how bad we are. I can't imagine how they'd cope without Allan, Doige, Kamberi and a couple of first choice defenders. Boyle coming back has been a boost for them. Hopefully Naismith and the others do the same for us.

That’s why the derby frustrated me so effing much.  Christophe Huddy and damour sold the points that day. Apart from that they had nothing. This Hibs team is very average.

Refreshing to see a player that can finish with both feet.... it annoys the crap out of me watching these multi-million £ players down south that can’t even pass with both feet yet command ridiculous fees/wages.
He looks quality 🤞

Plenty Hearts fans never got a good word to say about us.

Spot on - they’re bang average, shame we never turned up in the derby. Imagine they had to cope with the loss of half their first team like we did in the first half of the season.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Ross slide them down to the drop zone.

Hibs have signed that Omeonga boy back on loan. The Daily Record goes with :

Stephane Omeonga returns to Hibs as Jack Ross gets major backing

It’s a 6mth loan! Hardly major backing. We def get treated different in the press! No way would that be treated as positive for Hearts

that’s hilarious.  Jack Ross it seems hardly knows about him 😂😂 he was shite for them. Great stuff if that’s their ceiling

I would imagine he's saying the 'y' first in his head and is then following it with the word 'eye'.

Omeanga is a good player.

Needs a few destroyers on him and a good shirt pull. That'll knock him off his stride

Agree.

Disappointed that they have got him back. He was decent the last time.

Loads of energy and good touch.

That Omeonga doesn’t score goals, doesn’t setup goals, doesn’t defend and break up play, the lad plays it sideways and runs about. Nothing special.

No he is a good player from what I've seen

In the 2-1 game he was ahead of the play at both ends all match and was pivotal to Hibs win. But that's the game and that comes from having motivated players in your team, there's nothing there one of our players can't do

Should have also conceded a stonewall pen for an assault on Souttar which somehow Willie Collum ‘missed’

Decent player yes but doesn’t really specialise in anything
