Sounds like Avdijaj might not be in Edinburgh yet but will be in the next day or two, from what Allan Preston and Barry Anderson are saying. I think some posters like to capitalise on deals that look very likely to be done by claiming that they are done so they can scoop the ITK credit. That said, it won't have got this far without wages being discussed. Stendel's emphasis on the actual contract being signed suggested to me that something may already be agreed in principle (as per Jim Spence's suggestion last night) but not actually signed yet. I'm not sure we need all 3/4. Boyce is a no brainer and will slot right in. Avdijaj has a great CV but is definitely a risk. Hermann and Thiam are certainly not proven at this level and with our youngsters playing well it's not really a risk worth taking at the moment. Really hope it comes off, makes taking the risk of Stendel over the likes of Robinson so more obvious to everyone. Can't help but feel he'll go somewhere else tho. On paper, looks like a player that with lift us, be a stand out and will eventually leave us but having done a great job and would make us money. A very exciting signing.
