The legal relationship, between a principal and an agent is most definitely one based in fact and in law ...

Stendel might have given the OK for his agent to distribute his CV as he sees fit when vacancies come up. I can easily see why Stendel might think this is a more efficient arrangement than having his agent contact him every time to ask for permission to send his CV every time a vacancy pops up.

Definitely.

I've thought about it, but can't top either.

I'm alleging you are in cahoots and can compare notes much more easily.

What else would I be alleging?

So have the injuries.

It is not really about injuries though.  I was merely pointing out that an excuse was being made for Stendel missing 3 players when we have missed many more.  It was more about double standards, when it suits.

The three players were sold from under Stendel whilst Barnsley had been promoted from League 1 to the far more competitive Championship. It’s hardly double standards and pretty obvious to a reasonable person that you don’t sell your best players while moving into a better quality league and not replace them.

Whatever the circumstances, if you are without your best players you are without them.  It doesn't matter if you sell them or they are injured, they are not available.

Anyone in doubt should look at the twitter announcement from Barnsley of Stendal's departure (around the 8th October) the reaction from the fans tells you everything you need to know.

Not convinced it's Stendel .

The more I look at Alan Irvines cv the more I like it .

Stll hoping for Warmck in the short term though .

Don't see it with Irvine at 61 I would be hoping for someone that had been the main man a lot more than he has.Looks to me more a right hand man than a number 1

Acting without the 'express ok' of the principal. Same rules apply for solicitors, they act on their clients instructions. Outside of that they don't have any authority to do anything.

What is the instruction is 'find me a job'?

Any agent would then ask for parameters to work within. Salary, location, league etc ...

Why, the deeper I dug last night, the less encouragement I got.

Anyone can like to play a high pressing game, fact of the matter he has left Barnsley in a poor way. Admittedly not all his doing, losing the players he did would have hurt, but just like Levein, he has been unable to adapt, things were getting progressively worse rather than any improvement.

They were struggling for goals too, which is a real concern for an aggressive manager, whilst leaking at a pretty steady rate.

Barnsley fans being pssed he is gone, doesn't seem criteria for next Hearts manager to me

PS Assuming you mean Stendel, ignore if not

It doesn't take much money for the bookies to slash the odds

But the fact they are still taking bets probably means still a bit to go on this one

Yeah.

I'm 50/50 on him as well.

The pressing game is a funny one.

In Scotland as teams go more direct, second balls is more important imo.

With us, we'll be expected to Control a large amount of games as well, so again pressing isn't really a great style.

Ofc, it can be a fast, effective way of playing but football isn't that simple.

McCall, for example has achieved far more as a manager.

All roads lead to Gorgie

It makes a change for fans of other clubs saying good things about people we are trying to bring here. Usually we hear they are shite and it is usually right. I feel positive with Stendel bing linked this time.

Actually coming round to McCall now.His record is far more hit than miss so if Warnock doesn't want it he would be my preferred choice now of what's been mentioned.

Bradford fan was on here saying he was a definite hit at bradford. They've certainly not improved since he left.

That's what I think about you.

If the team is on a bad run with players missing, it matters not why they are missing.  They are simply not available, as previously, to the manager who must make do and mend.

BTW I'm not saying DS is a bad manager as I don't know enough about him.  He may even be like a breath of fresh air in the SPL.

so much of a hit the only job he’s been able to secure was at basket case scunny... maybe all the other chairmen and women have missed a trick?

more likely the Bradford fan has a low bar and we would be picking up someone off the scrap heap..

he’d be cheap though

Every appointment in life is a risk!

United appointing Jose

United appointing OGS

United buying Sanchez

Spurs appointing Jose

Arsenal appointing Emery

Hearts buying Rudi Skacel

There's no such thing as a 'guaranteed to be successful' appointment.
