The constituency that contains Grenfell went Tory.

What . . . can you even say to that?

It was a Tory safe seat until 2017.

Win OandS and Ruth is going Nessie hunting. She might even bolster the myth if any American and Japanese are about.

That went well

It's called campaigning, if it wasn't for Brexit, Boris would be still in the backbenches, FFS, give it a rest. The SNP have run a mock/muck up here and a supposed Labour voter mocks the SNP.

2015 was better for the SNP

2019 seems like a lesser victory.

I know a lot of people will be describing this as a simplistic/reductive thing.

BUT the warning signs are here for #indyref2 defeat already.

It won't be simply here to victory.

Captain Sausage

A pretty interesting (if personally disappointing) night.

My key takeaways are:

Tories have absolutely strolled it. Johnson now has the freedom to do as he likes.
SNP have done the same in Scotland.
Labour have had an absolute shocker, which was fairly predictable given Corbyn’s popularity. The whole Momentum movement is causing Labour to be unelectable. I wonder if they’ll see this as the turning point and move back towards the centre with a more popular leader.
Swindon has had a shocker too. Lib Dem’s have ended up as impotent as the greens after this showing.

I get there is a lot of hatred towards the Tories, but I think a lot of comments on twitter in particular about the ‘scabs’ who voted Tory are a bit off. People are free to vote as they choose, it’s called democracy. Just because it doesn’t go your way, don’t reduce those on the other side to ‘scum’. In general, most people are good, we just believe in different ways of making things better.

Safe to say that will be Brexit getting done pretty swiftly now. I would imagine Corbyn and the instantly forgettable Scottish labour leader will walk today.

Hard border between the United Kingdom of America and Scotland to look forward to now...

World is ****ed. Maybe more people realise the end of the world is nigh and are voting Tory to keep their wealth assuming money is edible.

Your thinking is its just SNP voter who will back independence?

Just wait until Boris & co are let off their leash and the full Brexit shit show really kicks in unopposed & unchecked.

The only escape route for moderate, middle & left leaning folk in Scotland will be to vote Yes in indyref2 & that covers supporter of all colours (except the lizard party of course).

I'm actually now thinking bring on indey ref 2. The pro Indy campaign were popular in 2014 and I don't think they are anymore so now. Remain would win again and we would get the joy of watch the streets fill with Nat tears.

So that was this General Election.

If you or anyone you know needs to talk to someone about your feelings,

you can call Breathing Space - 0800 83 85 87

they are usually quick to answer.

Lol surely no one takes it that seriously.
It’s went pretty much how I expected it to tbh.
Maybe slightly better for the SNP than I thought but generally no surprise.

More nationalists than unionists in NI is pretty big though.

They’re absolute clowns the DUP.
I don’t wish any harm on anyone over there I know it’s a fragile situation but surely the loyalists have seen just what their loyalty to this union has done.
Thrown under a bus and discarded for a lie laden brexit.
