They certainly paid a decent price for Turnbull - have they ever paid another Scottish club that sort of fee? Makes you wonder if it was return for some sort of favour...Certainly nobody else seemed to be seriously in for him, at least not this time after the injury...

What was the fee ?

Good results for Scottish teams tonight. Will be honest, I’d put a £5 double on them both to lose. I thought Irish football was catching up on Scottish football in terms of calibre and Aberdeen’s opponents put 5 past the vermin 2 years ago. I was only 13 goals away from my double coming in...

You are quite clearly an Aberdeen supporter though.

Motherwell in for a very tough match.  I'll say they will lose.

Abersheep might scrape through with their 5-4-1 defence.

Rangers most likely favourites and will win.

Yeah, shame there's no fans there. Once in a lifetime chance.

Stranger things have happened..imagine if rovers pulled this off! I reckon the rovers fans will turn up outside the ground for that but I hope this is on tv.

Take it to the Aviva or Croke Park, see if at least 5,000 could possibly get access?

Bazzas right boot

Don't mind the Scottish tea. S getting to the final qualifying round, hope no one makes it to the group stages tho.

Reckon Motherwell and Aberdeen could  get knocked out.

Earl Grey, but I like any tea.

With milk, no milk, lots of milk, not so much milk.

Fruit tea.

Tea is good, tea is life.

Tea is as horrible as every club which voted for our expulsion and that's really horrible.  I wish miserable failure to those in Europe.

If we beat Plovdiv we are away again in the next round to some other farmers.

Got to love the Europa League.

We all know that this diddy competition is beneath any team from the greatest league on the planet ever.

Perhaps the whole premiership should just go automatically into the CL group stages

Good. If the Vikings don’t do them, Sporting will ride them senseless.

And the sheep won't be able to get a good away trip either. Pleasing.

Plenty away trips for them when their new stadium is built.

Inverness should offer them a ground share when it’s getting built... Probably closer anyway.

Ha! I was being serious. I love away games in countries I couldn't pick out on a map. Gutted that there are no away fans allowed in Plovdiv. 2 Euros a pint. Fabulous.

I am impressed that you know who came 5th in the Bulgarian League. I don't follow it that closely.

Spurs have been drawn against Qarabağ FK from Azerbaijan in this coming seasons Europa League... Incase you haven't heard of them... They are a small unsuccessful club from north London...

Plovdiv is actually a decent night out, apart from maybe the aggressive gypsy beggars and unbelievably cheap.

Quite happy to see every Scottish club this year face an expensive trip to somewhere hard to get to and get rogered mercilessly to within a millimetre of their existence.

  • 2 weeks later...

Benfica into the playoff round on October 1st.  :D    Still some other possible tasty teams that could enter at the end, providing another stumbling block for them.
