Waving a vac-packed kipper around at the final Tory hustings, banging on about how the evil EU has forced them to be packaged with coolant pouches which in angering the Isle of Man producers.

1) The Isle of Man is not in the EU and not subject to EU regulations.

2) The rule about coolant pouches is a UK regulation.

Boris is a complete moron.

He done himself up like a kipper. I can’t understand how no one in his team fact check his claims before letting this clown anywhere near a microphone.

Seriously, the next time we by some miracle get a decent governing party majority, introduce legislation where pish like this ends up with MPs - politicians in jail.

I can't understand how he's about to enter 10 Downing Street as PM.  Baffling.

You mean like Tony Blair ?

Let me  just take a minute to agree with you.

And at the same time point out that we as an electorate have always put up with this .

And worse.

Boris and Trump are the outcome.

People do get the governments they deserve.

Too many apathetic erses who don't vote.

Leaves the polling booths as the domain of hardcore party members and activists on both wings.

In every way.

And irrespective of non voters.

Although I'm cynical enough that I believe we only get what we are allowed.

Absolutely- across all politicians - parties.

And whinging journalists too about their restricted freedoms, when again, probably not enough of them in jail.

She was worse than Blair, Pinochet and Saville. Blair made the mistake of Iraq, but he made The UK prosperous for the likes of you and I. Until the global crash fecked everything.

Until the global crash.

Inevitably.

Blair got lucky in the economic cycle.

Explain what's worse than the expression in your name and mines the use of mass bombing of civilians .

Lovingly named shock and awe.

The first night of vandalism murder and invasion followed by theft and carnage.

I wouldn't put it past the US and GB to become the new axis of evil.

It isn't about truth any more, it's about acting like it's the truth, and there are plenty who'll just lap it up.

John Gentleman

The New York Times (James Butler) nails him...

".....That should be concerning enough. But given Britain’s political system — which relies for its maintenance on the character and disposition of the prime minister — it carries even graver import. Mr. Johnson, whose laziness is proverbial and opportunism legendary, is a man well-practiced in deceit, a pander willing to tickle the prejudices of his audience for easy gain. His personal life is incontinent, his public record inconsequential."

Sir Alan Duncan, who this morning resigned as a minister, just tried to call a no-confidence vote in Boris.

He's not even Tory party leader yet, or PM.

His own party hate his guts

Aye that's the point.

Half of the Tory MPs hate BoJo.

Enough of them may rebel and vote down his government if it came to a no confidence vote.

The rancid truth is that most of the current pool of cabinet ministers and junior ministers,  etc will know full well what Johnson is snd would rather it wasn't necessary for him to be there in any way,     yet the vast majority of them will set it aside in order to retain or gain personal positions.

Collective cabinet responsibility will be severely tested to breaking point very quickly.

Slightly off topic but I see that purveyor of idiocy Jo Swinson is new Lib Dum leader. Dearie me what a place the UK is, politically speaking. Johnson, Corbyn and now Swinson. If we don't get independence now we never will and deserve everything that's foisted upon us.
