I think Levein's comments about needing a player with physicality are hinting at Mulumbu to be honest.

Hope we can get it done

Mulumbu would be a French speaker right? Met numerous Congolese and they speak English with French accents.

I think he's a quality player and would be a big improvement on Djoum. Hope he signs.

Ok, this is my first ever, and probably last ITK post on here. Was down at Dalmahoy today and saw someone that looked very like Mulumbu there. The guy had an african accent and he was with 4 kids (who had English accents, which would tally with his time spent down south) and there was also an older Scottish woman with him who I would guess would be Hearts PA/fixer. I know Hearts put up players or potential signings at the Dalmahoy as I saw Doyle there last year just after he'd signed.

Might be putting 2+2 together and getting 5 here but I checked on Google images straight after and it certainly looked like him.

A lot of people on here think 2+2 is 5.😂

North and South Korea are similar.

South Korea's proper name is Republic of Korea

North Korea's proper name is Democratic People's Republic of Korea (which is an autocratically ruled country with a one party system. Must be the world's first sarcastic country name.)

Only just. The German Democratic Republic, that well known bastion of freedom more commonly known as East Germany, formed a year later.

Be interesting to see similar lists for every club in Scotland. Won't be dissimilar in success or turnover.

Even looking at big clubs with big budgets and limitless resources, the strike rate will prob be 50/50, as above (taking it as fact!). Difference at big clubs is less player turnover. Which will be the case with us from now too I'd think.

Only Hearts make poor signings, no other club. (Even though Hibs and Rangers have signed more dross than us in recent seasons.)

Malumbu (sp) makes anyone's midfield apart from Celtic's 8n the SPFL better.

He will probably end up at Hibs though no doubt.

Or, even more crazy. What if, and bear with me. We are interested in Mulumbu, and he told prospective clubs he's not willing to make a decision until he's back from AFCON, and consults with his family as to what's best for them. And not what's best for Hearts or other teams?

Radical thought perhaps.

You're losing it man.

Mulumbu would be a cracking signing. Hope we are at least asking questions.

Here's a list and review of the 70 players Levein has signed since he came back. Personally, I'd say the hit rate is about 50-50. Half the signings were duds, the other half were either decent enough as squad players or bona fide hits.

He was getting booed before he had touched the ball . Hardly the worst performance that night .

Not exactly a Sammon fan but always gave 100% , unlike some .

Signed by Neilson against Leveins advice . Cathro obviously didn't want him . Players like Sammon , used properly , can be useful squad players .

Guy never stood a chance

The fact that, since signing for us, he has failed at Hearts, Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle and Motherwell and then ended up in the third tier of Scottish football suggests he was utter utter pish and that Neilson was brain damaged for trying to sign him, and that he would never be anything even approaching a ‘useful squad player’.

Frightening how much utter dross we have brought into this club in 5 years

I'd hate to see what type of money we've spunked down a drain on them

Must be in the millions

Here's a list of 70 players that signed for us during the AB/CL regime. About 50-50 regarding the dud/non dud ratio in my opinion.

So we've signed at least 35 decent enough players and managed two 6th place finishes in a row now?

This squad building shit seemed far more easier years ago.2 players for every position supplement by youth.Suppose it's different now with multiple positions and formations to deal with.
