You'd have to think that Levein had a plan for Lafferty's replacement, this won't have been done in a hurry. He was really good for us before, hope it comes off.

Class act. Let's hope he's fit.

I'd be happy with this if it means we wait till January for the Czech lad.

If fit, I actually prefer him as a football player to Lafferty. Maybe not as many goals, but will score a few AND he will add a lot more to the team as a whole.

IF fit

Hmm, not too sure about this. Far too injury prone for my liking.

That's my concern. If he stays fit then he is a great signing. Will work well off Naismith, McLaren, and Ikpeazu. But his injury record has meant he has had problems.

Unless he's learnt how to play the flute and grown 9 inches taller since 2016 he can GTF

Hasn't played much since leaving us over 2 years ago.

No denying when the lad is fit, there's a hell of a player there.

What's the chances of this being a loan deal till January until Vanecek arrives?

Since leaving us he has done absolutely hee haw but I'd be glad to see him back if the terms were right. Can be a real threat through the middle or played wider.

Velicka was decent in both spells with us. Although the gap between spells was really short.

he only had one spell here, no?

That's better. If fitness is a issue I don't think we'll bring him back, I would imagine if he does come back it will be more match sharpness he will need.

As others have said if injury free and fit would be excellent signing! Don't see point of spending money on Czech lad when he comes free in 4 months

The encouraging thing is his best and most content spell was with us.

Like many are saying, some players just find a place that works for them.

Absolutely buzzin for us to get this done. Was magic with us first time around. Wonder if we can turn it permanent at the end of the deal.

Can he be on loan if he's out of contract ? Permanent signing I'd think.

What utter nonsense. No matter what we all now think of Lafferty, at times he dropped back into a wide midfield role and worked his arse off for the team. Ross Co away last season probably being the best example. I remember Neilson trying to do the same with Sow and especially away from home, Sow was nowhere as good at it.

Bit of money to spend now. Who's to say it won't be. I hope so :D

Cant be a loan no. He'd need to have a club to be loaned from.

Apologies. Didn't realise Sow was a free agent. Thought he was still under contract at MK

1 year long loan deal with his contract expiring at the end of it, better than a kick in the baws with big shoes on that one!
