Others I dont but once someone states where it is I do. Others, even with the name of the place I am none the wiser. Google maps helps to an extent but for some places they are unrecognisable. The stories and personal stuff folk share I find fascinating. Catching up on the thread is a great way to start Boxing Day. Thanks to all the contributors for keeping this amazing thread going. The steps down to it are still there, but its been bricked up, and the end which is near the flats is below ground level now. It must have been in some state when they had that flooding. Always got off the bus at Gorgie Road and I used to get taken to the South enclosure in the 70's and then I started going to the school end in the 80's via McLeod Street as well.. Bizarre how I can't remember that building like it was in that phot. Really thinking about it now maybe I have a vague memory of it being demolished.
