I did some work in it a few years ago. If you go down to the basement there’s a mini shooting range, only safe for air rifles I’d say and the room is only about 6ft high.

Bogg’s Mill 1902

A member of the Water of Leith Trust has identified Millbank House at the top of the brae from Bogg's Mill. The house is still there, but all the mill buildings were demolished by the Edinburgh Corporation in the 1950s. A building named Riverside House now stands there.

Ruins of Redhall at the bottom of Colinton Dell, 1900

In the background is Redhall Mill, sometimes known as Colinton Barley Mill. The wages office of the mill is on the left. It is still there, greatly improved, but the rest of the buildings have been demolished.

The photograph is taken from the railway line that ran up from Edinburgh to Balerno.

1982 skateboarding competition at Gracemount and what I presume is some kind of party running along with it.

Anyone on here know more about this, were you there?

Not a Plaza cinema, the main dance hall back then was the Eldorado. The was however a Palace cinema at the foot of the walk on the corner with Duke Street that’s a Witherspoons now.

There was a skateboard park in Gracemount in the late seventies and the first pic could be from there but the rest I don't think so.

Second pic looks like Prince's Street Gardens but could be Kelvin grove Park Glasgow as there was a Skate Park through there around the same time.

Third pic could possibly be The Eldarado indoor Skate Park on Mill Lane in Leith.

The other pics are a mystery but not from Gracemount.

Looks like the old mop and bucket to clean the stair.

Can always remember the smell of disinfectant when my Granny's stairs was mopped

They are all claimed to be taken in Gracemount by the person supplying the pictures.

Yes the disciplines of the old days every household had a day when they were responsible for their area of the stair. The women also were Always ready with brush in hand to clean up, sometimes though the brush was a wee ruse to be outside in the hope of getting a wee blether.
