every Briton

And everyone else from a third country.

They knew what they were voting for

:greggy:

On a recent trip to Germany, I got my passport stamped for the first time in a European country. No hassle, it took a few seconds. Always liked a wee stamp in my passport. They remind me of where I've been and when.

As for fingerprints. They will probably do the same as Singapore. A wee thumbprint on a screen as you are going through passport control. Again, no hassle. No ink pads and covering your fingers in ink.

These clowns in the UK nationalist media sure know how to twist minor things to their warped anti Johnny Foreigner agenda. The UK government asked for British citizens to be subject to different regulations as to when we were in the EU. Now it's happening we are seemingly being picked on rather than just being subject to the same rules as any other non EU country.

Have just seen this. Christ on a crutch.

Talk about island mentality. This, on top of going cap in hand to former colonies only having them mock us.

He's being a drama queen here . What might happen is  that UK proposals go through and UK gets immigrant labour from selective EU  countries but the EU doesn't reciprocate. That could happen because -

I UK is so desperate it will sign anything

ii UK has been done over before when EU negotiated better terms for EU HGV drivers when UK was desperately short of drivers

IMO it's not going to happen because the UK proposals are blatantly racist and exclude E Europeans. I don't see the EU buying that given Brexit was all about Polish mums filling out hospitals , Polish kids clogging up our schools and Polish brickies under cutting our brickies.

Nothing has even been submitted yet.

I'm not seeing anything you've said that rebutts the tweet TBH, in fact you seem to be agreeing with it in bold.

It doesn't kick in until 2024 and there will be a six month grace period.

No published date yet that I've seen. No need to panic.

"Might" being  the operative word, he is making it appear that's what's been officially agreed.

My main point is , IMO the EU will refuse due to the blatant racism.

Wondering why you're car insurance is rocketing ?

Chronic shortage of spare part , due to , guess what ?

A six month wait for some parts , chronic shortage of parts for sonies picking up a hefty tab for courtesy cars while they wait for parts.

I'm not taking it that way, I read it that he's saying that's what the government's plan is, but I get you.

We hope to reach again a Europe united but purged of the slavery of ancient, classical times, a Europe in which men will be proud to say:
‘I am a European.’
We hope to see a Europe where men of every country will think as much of being a European as of belonging to their native land, and that without losing any of their love and loyalty of their birthplace.
We hope wherever they go in this wide domain, to which we set no limits in the European Continent, they will truly feel:
‘Here I am at home. I am a citizen of this country too.’
Let us meet together. Let us work together. Let us do our utmost – all that is in us – for the good of all.

Brrexit red tape on the way as UK finally implements the checks its been putting off for years and the attitiude of EU exporters to UK : basically, they can't be arsed.

More lack of choice on the way,

The CCF survey showed only 60% of businesses planned to continue supplying to the UK with the same frequency after the new border checks are implemented.

10% of respondents plan to reduce the frequency and range of UK-based customers they serve, 7% plan to stop altogether...

My post was only pertinent to that particular post.

I remember saying to my old man, years ago, that history had been kind to Churchill. That his wartime PM days had taken focus away from his attitudes and actions prior to WW2.

He didn't disagree.

The taking back control thing still going well it seems.

A canny move from the lying party which probably means that no checks will be implemented before the next GE at which point the Tories (Rouge) will have to implement them.

How the **** is Keith going to beige his way out of that one?

Yes.

Keith will come in and implement it because he actually thinks he can make it work and is also shit scared to even consider the alternative, which of course is that it's a load of tam kite and is crippling our economy.

The Tories have just boxed him in here.

Will there ever be a time when implementing this will NOT be inflationary?

No. Not only will it be inflationary but it will also  be recessioinary.

We're 4% down on GDP without even implementing the full blown shit show.

We'll be full 'emerging' economy if and when they Tories/Tories Red implement it.

UK walked out of EU and so walked out on any further "Horizon" involvement : why are scientists gonna come to the UK on that basis when they can do so much more in the EU ?

Add in the "hostile environment" that was started under Theresa May , why would any "foreigner" come to the UK.

Maybe the Global Talent 3 aren't scientists. Maybe they are 3 world leading Human rights lawyers specialising in migration rights? 😉

This video clip is from a guy I'v  been following on Twitter for years.

What he's showing is the M20 in Kent - which is normally completely blocked with lorries heading for Dover, but as you can see , it isn't now  because EU hgv traffic has fallen off the white cliffs of Dover.

Well I suppose that destroying the export market is one way of solving the traffic jams at Dover.

Can't be any traffic jams if there's no traffic!

Government big braining that one.

You couldn’t make it up, Part 859.

Someone writing for The Telegraph - the reading matter of choice for the moneyed, educated branch of the Brexit xenophobes - has belatedly reached the conclusion that the UK is a raging skip-fire. For better or for worse the article is behind a paywall, but unfortunately it fails to mention a couple of factors most sane people would regard as germane to the transformation into said skip-fire, namely Brexit and 13 years of Conservative government.

Sadly it’s a bit light on suggestions for European countries the under-50s might move to, but having enabled and cheerled the removal of our liberty to live and work in 27 other countries it’s maybe unsurprising that The Telegraph is keeping schtum on that matter.

The current tactic from tories is to blame voters : it's what the people wanted, apparently. I must've missed the bit where Lard Arse drove his  big red bus of bullsh1t around the UK.

it's got nothing to do with thirteen years of tory misrule or the raging civil war in the tory party though.

James Dyson loses his libel case against the Daily Mirror.

In the Daily Mirror article, the journalist Brian Reade referred to Dyson as “the vacuum-cleaner tycoon who championed Vote Leave due to the economic opportunities it would bring to British industry before moving his global head office to Singapore”.

“Kids, talk the talk but then screw your country and if anyone complains, tell them to suck it up.”

Dyson sued, claiming that this constituted a “vicious and vitriolic” personal attack.

Judge ruled that no harm had been done to Dyson's business or his philanthropic work and threw out the claim
