What are folks thought on any future development? The only areas we have left that can be developed imo are the Roseburn stand undercroft and Gerard’s yard, once the temporary nursery closes.

There's still a fair bit unused space under the Wheatfield (Gorgie end) and once the shop/TO move, a big space down there too.

Yes, we are not short of space that could potentially be used to generate income.

Also office staff will eventually move from the wheatfield to second floor of new stand.

Could the new nursery be used for this purpose over the weekend?

Not really. A playbarn and a nursery are complimentary though. Playbarn usually cater more for 4-9 year olds, and their fixed equipment + cafe make nursery use difficult. I have seen them installed very successfully in leisure centres which are basically just barns/ hangers

One you have them in they are decent earners and having the schools and nursery nearby gives a

natural catchment

I had always thought the wheatfield undercroft should be the home of a supporters club/bar but having seen the space available in the former Gerards yard I think this space would be ideal for it.

I thought oor Ann said that Hearts would consider a large supporters bar under the Wheatfield once the ticket office, club store and the temporary offices had relocated to the new main stand?

From Aug 2017:

"We have added a final step in the Wheatfield Stand development namely to develop the remaining space under the south end of the stand into improved storage facilities to meet the expanding needs of the business, along with essential parking for office staff and match day operations staff.  This is now well-underway and should be completed by May."

She did say that. Plans can change though.

When I first seen the dug out frame /cover I was a bit meh.

But now I think they are instantly recognisable and will iconic in the future.

The view for disabled fans is by far the best in the league and possibly one of the best in the uk. Certainly beats sitting in a shed at the likes of Motherwell

Used to sit in Section B in the Wheatfield for over ten years. If you wanted something to eat and drink and to use the toilet, you had to leave your seat about ten minutes before the half time whistle went. Then you wouldn’t get back to your seat before kickoff again. Now sit in Section R of the new stand. I can now wait until the halftime whistle blows, mosey down to the kiosks get served, eat, use the toilet and then be back in my seat five minutes before Kickoff. So that works a lot a better. ?

Good because i was in the new main stand for the first game then a few weeks later and the queue for the toilets were a joke although the food queue wasn't that bad. Glad to hear its better.

Would that not eat into capacity and would they look to move the press tables there?

Thanks for updating.

Is there much movement on fitting out the other floors of the new stand? Or is that still being reworked?

Depends on the option they go for - any seat reduction will be minimal.

The Press tables will stay where they are.

Anybody know how expensive it is to get something similar to murrayfields big banner, like the iconic one at emirates?

The new facilities are cracking, but even discounting the fact the windows aren’t the greatest (not trying to dig up old news here) it just feels a bit bare.  Obviously the view from hospitality is important but we could get a mesh that lets you see through one way but not the other.

Would be nice to have something on the stand that is unique for a couple seasons that could be changed if we wanted.
