For the latest films your better with Phonex. Use the inbuilt rock chrusher app. Something new is coming along which is apparantly far and away better than Genesis which would be amazing. You'll have a period of them being brilliant with none or little issues and then they'll suffer for various reasons. Genesis does work perfectly for some people however loads are having issues with it. It's nothing to do with the developer pulling the plug as he hasn't and that story wasn't totally factual. It's not clear exactly what he's going to do with it yet but he hasn't pulled out. Genesis is like the Google of the addon world. It pulls content from other places therefore you're relying on the source (not Genesis) also being live/not having any issues. Throw into the mix that TVAddons alone are saying they had 13 million users at one point and you can probably understand if/why Genesis is buckling under the strain. New content is actually being added constantly though it's not clear if this is solely automated via scrapers or if the dev is also updating. I could actually be wrong but I think the issues are more down to the volume of traffic rather than the dev having deserted the addon. The amount of people that have parents and even grandparents setup on Kodi, as I have done for mine. Genesis was perfect because they could all navigate it without the need to guide them through it or actually do it for them Hopefully this new addon the dev's working on will work alongside Genesis and take some of the strain. The better addons will/should update automatically. Also once you've been using an addon for a period you'll come to know which ones are the most reliable. One things for sure. What works for one perfectly doesn't always work for another. Again it might be traffic but you can't help but think it's just luck of the draw sometimes. I've used SALTS a bit over the last 24 hours. Loads of dead sources however I've notice one source (Los Movies) which has been around for over 4 years. I stopped using them a couple of years back as nothing work. Despite this they seem one of the more reliable on SALTS. They've also got their own addon so might be worth having another look at it. That said if you've got a new box I've just read that the new update will now show sideloaded apps in the apps section. Newer boxes are having the update rollout now with older boxes and sticks shortly. If you've not got it yet it'll be soon. Always try to get sports on the addons that use Acestream as the quality is better. I never have a problem using these streams and I am with Virgin but my parents who are with BT (Infinity) usually use these streams too and they worked perfectly until around 3 days ago. Now everytime they try a stream using Acestream it just counts down and gives them an Invalid Torrent message even though when I try the same streams they work. Have BT started blocking these types of streams? Plus they now even struggle to get normal streams such as the ones in SportsDevil. As I said they had no problems until around 3 days ago. Have you checked to see if they've got smart setup enabled? Even if it's previously been disabled something such as the router having a firmware update could see it being reset. Smart setup can play havoc with stuff on Fire Stick. Login to their homehub advanced settings using admin password, home network and disable smart setup if enabled. Reboot the stick.
