Some enjoyable reading over on denial.net

I agree, chatting on twitter earlier this morning and I said I hate when we're favourites as we never live up to it.

How anyone thought that Ross would win the tactical battle today was severely disillusioned, why would he win that today when he could not do it in the past ? Sorry but he has not got a clue and that performance was an utter embarrassment for the club.

Today's result is unforgivable.
Forget 3rd place today's result has summed up Ross tenure.
soft, lacking ideas, no leadership, tactically inept.
Hes got to go

Quality? We lost a semi final to a championship club. We got hammered in another one. And today, in a cup final, we produced the most powder puff display possible.
You can accept mediocrity all you want, but if you want to win a trophy, that impostor who wears a ‘lucky cardigan’ isn’t the man for the job.
We’ve been far far from quality.

Has anyone tweeted Hibs asking why Martin Boyle was joining in the St Johnstone celebrations by diving in the changing room?

Its days like this that I miss the good old days when you could phone a pub in Leith and get them to ask if there was a Shaun Rooney in the bar 😊

Brilliant 🤣

I honestly think Hibs have more chance of winning a cup if the Old Firm are still involved, we don't handle the favourites tag very well at all.

Right and how many cups will that be in total?

that is reminiscent of was it fenlon saysing losing the first goal removes the fear of going behind, or something like that?

Wasn’t that Calderwood? Or Stubbs? Edit: I think it was Butcher.

And Fenlon’s theory - so beautifully ridiculed by Sergio - that all the pressure is on the team which has been beasting Hibs senseless all season was shown once again to be absolute tripe.

Think this was his quote

PAULO SERGIO today warned Hibs that Hearts are under no pressure ahead of tomorrow’s historic Scottish Cup final, because they know how to beat their city rivals.

If you believe that losing puts the pressure onto the other team that wins more times, okay, you keep losing. Keep losing and put the pressure onto us.”

The best thing about this thread is it doesn't even cover the greatest Edinburgh derby game in history and we've been largely rubbish for 4 of the 8 years the thread has been going, but we've still never run out of material.

I thought Hearts were so slow and one paced all season, but we looked like 11 Linford Christie's compared to the wee team today.

As if they knew, the radio here just played one of my favourite songs, Positively 4th Street by Bob Dylan.  It always makes me think of Hibs.  "You know what a drag it is to see you".

He turns 80 tomorrow and has only had to suffer Hibs winning the cup once.  Not as lucky as my dad.  He lived to 81 and never had to suffer them winning it at all.

The cup final thread is beautiful from start to finish. The optimism and wild fantasy in the opening pages to the realisation they are shite to the snarling and growling at each other.
