I don't mind Taylor normally, but he was a right knob in that interview there.

He's a creepy bugger.

I hope Barney hammers him.

Every match between Taylor and Barney since their epic in 2007 is hyped to the moon - and Taylor usually batters him.

Hopefully not this time though.

He's also a convicted sex offender (indecent assault on 2 girls in their 20's).

2-0 to Newton :pleasing:

Can't believe Wade's still in this tournie, although I think the winner of Lewis/Van Gerwin will be the finalist anyway.

I think his QF place alone would seal Newton's place in the Premier League.

I'd imagine it'll be:

Taylor

Lewis

Wade

Newton

Whitlock

Anderson

Van Gerwin

Barney

And I really hope it's Van Gerwin.

2-1 now

A wee revaluation from John Gwynne there!

"I've seen some semis in my time"

Didn't know he was that way inclined.

Isn't it the top 6 ranked players plus 2 by invitation? Sure painter and barney were in as invites last year.

Ps. Turned round to the mrs when newton made it 2 sets to nil and said, and I quote.....this could be 5-0, wade doesnt have the mental strength to come back

Wade is deadly on the doubles. Only one winner now I'm afraid

Used to be now it's top 4 plus 4 wild cards!

Right on cue, Wade misses 3 doubles to break throw.

Correct.

I think Anderson might struggle to get in considering the year he's had.

Ignore me. It's top 4 after the worlds.

4-3 now

I'm sure he's behind Whitlock and Newton.

Actually, Newton is 6th behind Anderson - not for much longer, I'd imagine.

I thought he was 4th just now and got mixed up. He wouldn't be after the championship anyway.

The top 3 will still be Taylor, Lewis and Wade after this, I'd imagine. I think it will be between Whitlock and Newton for the 4th spot, with the other being a cert for the first wild card. With recent form, you'd think Van Gerwin and BARNEY would be guaranteed as well.

Anderson has had a poor year, including his terrible defence of the premier league, and being banned for a couple of tournaments for his behaviour.

I'd like Huybrechts to get one, but that won't happen. As long as Hamilton and ESPECIALLY Pipe don't get the call.

The lineup mentioned above would be the best in terms of quality of player. I suspect with having 2 Scottish dates Anderson will be one of the wildcards
