Currahee!

Today is dangerous for Wiggins and he needs to consolidate his lead. Wednesday is a long stage with one monster HC climb in it, I reckon Evans will see it as a chance to try and break Wiggins, though Sky have been doing well with Chris Froome on the climbs. Tragic that Sammy Sanchez is out as it is getting to his sort of territory in my opinion.

In the dauphine, Wiggins took over a min out if Evans in a similar distance, this was quoted by ligget yesterday, however they said that a lot can change in a month.

Amazing time by Cancellara. Impressive by Van Garderen as well.

Yeah one to watch for the future I think!

Also World Champion at TT Tony Martin who looked to have a decent time has now dropped out the top 3!

Edit: Fecking hell Froome takes 26 seconds out of Cancellara's first checkpoint!

What the hell is going on with Chris Froome?

He's setting an amazing time so far. Looks like his performance in the Vuelta wasn't such a surprise..

Team radios saying Wiggo has taken 20 seconds out of Evans in the first 10k !

Gutted i'm missing this at work, but i see Cancellara is fastest.

Good to see Wiggans do well, hope he maintains this. How is he comparing to Cancellara's time?

Froome through the second checkpoint with the fastest time so far, by 20 seconds!

Could be a cracking day for Team Sky!

Wonder what the odds are on Froome to take a couple of the first stages in the mountains this week and gets close to Cadel and Wiggo?

Edit: Scrpa that he can get close to Cadel today and Nibali is slow too!

I can see sky having top 2 in the gc after this

Which could be interesting as Froome is better in the mountains that Wiggins.

Correct, one wonders if there were no team orders!

Froome home, 22 seconds ahead of Cancellarra, Stunning!

Now how much can Wiggo take out of this?

I can't see Froome being allowed his head unless something happens to Wiggins.

Unbelievable. Gonna be a 1-2 for sky in the gc, barring disaster.

Ad said previously froomes a better climber than Wiggins, I think he'll go of on his own on wed to secure second place.

Not too sure, surely first priority is to give as much protection to Wiggo as possible

I think we all said it would start to heat up over the weekend, absolutely no doubt about it

Hard to believe we are hardly mentioning Cav!!

Might be good for Cav to pull out now, no chance of the green jersey. Give himself time to recover and rest.

If froome can get second then the pressure is all on the others and sky can watch while they all fight it out.

Bring on Wednesday.

Cav likes his wee jaunt up and down the champs elysee mind

Moaning about his hotel room for rest day on Twitter, a bit basic I think

I doubt Cavendish will be there at the end. He'll quit getting ready for the Olympics.
