If Thomas de Gendt had been leading I think I know where everybody would have been looking for the tack thrower

Does that include the ones in Evans' tyres

Probably not. So 31 if you include Evans and 32 if you include Wiggins. Plus the rest.

Sagan "nailed" the green jersey

Perhaps the wrong phrase

Yep sagan for me as well, turning out to be a bit of a zabel, in terms of all round ability.

I predict Thomas de Gendt will NOT win today

Wednesday is a shoe in though, I'll be lumping on big time

Stage 16, bring it on, breakaway caught on last climb, nibali and Evans to have push, let's see what Wiggins is made of.

Will be interesting to see how Frank Schleck gets on without the limelight being on Andy.

As an outside bet, I fancy Pierre Rolland.

Apologies if this has been brought up already -

Old Frank seems to have done well to divert the limelight!! ;)

Frank Schleck eh?

What I don't get is that last year he was competetive and would presume tested at some point and came up clean, yet this year when he is doping he is miles off the pace?

Whats the point in doping if it doesn't make you better than before?

I know it's hard to give any cyclist the benefit of the doubt when it comes to a positive test, especially given the whiff around Radioshack, but what Schleck's been caught using doesn't look like a major performance enhancer.

The question is, is it used as a masking agent?

And of course the Radioshack team manager isn't there. Something to do with a former rider when he ran another team :whistling:

Just saying like.

Evans now 7th in the GC after losing 5mins on Wiggo, evans now also BMC's second placed rider with Tejay Van Gardenen 11 seconds ahead of him! Top 3 unchanged!

Todays big winner though was Thomas Voekler, the frenchman had a perfect day, took all four climbs to take the King of the Mountains Jersey!

Chapeau Wiggins.

Didn't get to watch it live but from the Guardian and CyclingNews updates it didn't sound like he was ever in any bother, while Evans got blown out the back.

It's a shame there doesn't seem to be more acknowledgment of his performance in this year's race. It's not been flashy, but Team Sky have executed their plan almost perfectly.

Is Froome stronger? Possibly, but certainly not by much. And they couldn't afford to risk him doing more in the mountains given it's not certain he'll be able to perform in the penultimate day time trial.

To not acknowledge Wiggins' ride because Froome looked to have put him under pressure for 30 seconds on one climb (without us ever knowing whether he could have revved his diesel engine and got back) would be a travesty.

What's the press coverage of it been like back home?

Its not a performance enhancing drug though.
