Wild that she's 40! Thought she was good anyway before Wikipedia revealed just how good nick she's in.

Big result from Durham coming up here...

Got to love the combination of very fit TV birds and utterly wacko matrix freaks.

Looking like a very poor night for the SNP. Dundee West nowhere near falling to them, and a really poor result in East Lothian - fourth place.

Jesus, how can people actually find the strength to get to the polling stations to vote for an idiot like Johan Lamont. Horrible face, voice and personsality. Is that honestly the kind of person the majority of Scots want ruling over us. Dear god.

Depends on what way you look at it. It seems to me that their incredibly low key campaign, bar the disastrous court of session actions, was perhaps a deliberate ploy. What better way to gain support for independence than a conservative government in London which has been resolutely rejected by Scotland?

Am I the only person to be surprised at the Labour vote in Scotland going up? Just not what I expected.

Quite. If the Tories get in power in Ingerlund, they will try to cut Scotland's revenue which plays right into the hands of Eck and the SNP.

It's a no-lose sitation for the SNP tonight.

This is not the only surprise about this election so far. It is, in my best Politics degree terminology, a bit radge.

Swings with absolutely no consistency, Labour losses, Labour gains, Tories looking strong in some areas and incredibly weak in others, the Lib Dems completely crumbling... it's as interesting an election as people my age have ever seen.

Dunfy west; big lab swing back after the by election. Willie Rennie hadn't been too unpopular, so again further evidence of a swing towards lab across scotland.

Big win in Kilmarnock with Cathie Jamieson too.

If it was a ploy, it's working brilliantly. But I'm not convinced. I thought the SNP vote was going to be squeezed by the Lib Dems, but, almost incredibly, the Labour vote appears to be up - certainly in the east of the country.

Nope. Hopefully it strays into Somali waters.

Conspiracy theories aside, I think people up here have reacted to the English media's treatment of Brown tbh.

Has the SNP vote diminished because people see little point now they have power in Scotland (albeit a minority government)? I did have a slight hunch this could happen, but expected the lib-dems to be the beneficiaries, not labour.

He was popular but there's a lot of jobs at risk with the ship building at the Dockyard with the Tories and Lib Dems saying they were going to cancel half of the contract so there was always going to be a swing but for me it was unexpected
