There's the Electoral Commission getting their excuses in nice and early. A quick teflon coated hospital pass onto the individual returning officers. Nice.

Breaking news on Sky that Hamid Karzai, Afghanistan's president, has offered us independent observers to ensure fair elections in future. :whistling:

DUP's Ian Paisley (Jnr) holds the seat.

That'd be the seat his father wore, so to speak. :whistling:

TUV? Splitters!

According to Sky, Hearts fan Ian Murray for Labour loses Edinburgh South (the grasping, unspeakable disgusting Nigel Griffiths' old seat) to the Liberal Democrats.

I know you're just making a pun but Ian R.K. Paisley is certainly not a friend of the OO. ?

Peter Robinson seems to have lost his seat - to the Alliance Party!

Now being declared on BBC 2. Naomi Long wins it!

First Liberal Democrat seat (if you don't count Naomi Long) - holding Thornbury & Yate but with a swing away from LD to CON.

One of Cameron's potential allies (DUP, Peter Robinson) loses his seat in Norn Iron.

Good game, good game!

Robinson looks absolutely devastated. I think he may cry.

He didn't want to be here anyway...apparently...

I agree. I couldn't give a toss what any of these media whores have to say. They'd be better off sticking to the substance of the election, as indeed BBC1 has done.

Horrific patter from the likes of McGowan, but better than the absolute car crash that is the w@nkathon (Brooker and the lovely Laverne aside) on Channel 4. At least my man Pete Snow rocked up for a moment there - made it all worthwhile.

His voice was breaking away there. He was always going to lose his seat after his wifes antics.

Yep. Looking better for Cameron.

Labour hold Rutherglen & Hamilton West. No surprise, but that (I think) is the first Scottish declaration.

Labour increases its vote, as do SNP. Liberal Democrats lose vote share.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me at all if we go back to that daft party only to find Richard Wilson and Joan Collins doing a karaoke duet. I suppose they have to do?something?to keep things ticking over between the results, people can only cope with so many digital maps and pie charts.

LibDems hold Torbay.

Aside from Brooker, who was doing his impartial bit (on asisde note, I reckon he may be a Labour man). It was the biggest Tory love in I have ever seen!
