Bigsmak
I've joined the Fife golf pad trying this year. Played a few of the courses. The greens have been great. Big shout out to the 9 hole course at https://fifegolftrust.co.uk/auchterderran-golf-course/ £7 to play for an adult, till just over an hour an there were 2 or 3 really enjoyable holes (2 or 3 WTF holes as well) but when it comes to value for money... Its be right up there. And the Greene are really surprisingly good.

Reallt helped my thinned chip at 18 which bounced right of the board and back onto the green. But the pins were in hard positions and it was the longest the course can be. Samuel Camazzola
The Torrance at The Fairmont is looking tremendous ahead of the Hero Open in two weeks. Tees and greens are lush green. Fairways likewise and framed nicely with the contrasting rough. Fairways have the sprinklers on more than usual and additional help is being supplied by Dumbarnie. The pros will tear the place to bits but the exposure the courses will get will be hugely beneficial. It's just a pity the dates will clash with tge WGC in Memphis which will lead to the top-ranked guys qualifying to play there but Ryder Cup points will be up for grabs for others. Victorian
Had a recount. Played 19 of them. North Berwick west, Archerfield Fidra, Blairgowrie Rosemount, Gullane 2, St.Andrews Jubilee, Leven, Scotscraig, Kilspindie, Downfield, Longniddry, Crail Balcomie, Blairgowrie Lansdowne, Bruntsfield, Mortonhall, Musselburgh, North Berwick Glen, Royal Burgess, Edzell, Alyth. I reckon only 5 of them I would count as special courses to play. North Berwick west, Archerfield Fidra, Scotscraig, Crail Balcomie, Blairgowrie Lansdowne. There's a lot of average courses in there. Longniddry and The Glen.

Do you know if this is still the case? It was approx £1k a night (although that price was 'all inclusive' I believe) 😄 Not sure, but they were working hard to maintain the "exclusive" tag. I played about ten years ago, and I was involved in a major sponsorship deal with them. Still had to jump through hoops to get a game😂 Was worth it though, beautiful course. Balcomie really? Nice holiday links course, but special? add it too you average list, no better than Longniddry or Glen. It's just a fav of mine going back almost 40 years since I first played it.

And mine too, love the course. I get why it was special to you, but maybe not in the context of the list.

Particularly good scores around Merchants (68) and Winterfield (70), both at first sight. Blairgowrie (Wee course) is an outstanding and quirky wee track that I've played about 30+ times. 66 for twice around on one occasion. But it's a different question to a top course list. hmfc_liam06
There's always going to be some average courses in the top 100 list given that it counts for around 20% of our courses. Some countries don't even have 100 courses to choose from
