Black and White hearts pictures coloured!

It's Serif DrawPlus X3. The 3D effect is a new feature of the programme, which I combine with Serif PhotoPlus X2 (a poor man's Photoshop) to come up with different designs and effects.

I do have Photoshop, but I'm far more comfortable using the Serif progs as I've been using them for years now...... it's a case of 'stick to what you know' for me.

That is the absolute bizzo son. More power to your elbow.

1 where did the background photo come from and

2 Have you tried it with the team photo that came with the season renewal pack?

Hearts resident photoshopper really is awful. Between this and the sponsor on the kit photos I do question how he/she got the job.

Am I the only one that thinks Alfie's eyes are looking slightly deranged on the coloured pic??

Taking nothing away from FSW's artistry you understand:10900:

Best thread on Kickback....FACT!

Thanks to the efforts of some of you guys I now have a great selection for the computer at work. The 1914 stuff is particularly great because it gives me a chance to tell other people the story. Also love the Derby goal Fine Scottish Wine did....before my time but the clenched fists and somersaults really show a time when football meant so much more than money.

Keep up the grood work, and I agree with the comments about the photoshop work from Tynecastle. I thought the homestrip was horrific thanks to the official photos, but it's actualy not that bad.

My mistake...it was Scotland that did the Derrick O'Connor goal.

Love the "Blood doesn't show on a Maroon Jersey" stuff asa well.

Now i Know George Philip (back row 2nd in from right) is a goalkeeper but i was not sure if separate coloured keeper tops had been introduced yet, on the B&W pic it seemed the same as the rest.

A quick look at the Pictorial History book confirms they had not, so the tops colour is ok. :)

Quoting myself, how sad is that :stuart::)

TUTORIAL 1

OK, lets set about getting the software you might need:

Step 1:

Download Gimp and install it....

1.jpg

Step 2:

Load/start Gimp. You should get a loading screen like this

Gimp-splash-2.6.png

I will start the next part of the tutorial once I get a picture to do...

Step 4:

Open your image

Step 5:

Step 6:

THIS SHOULD SAY 'CHOOSE COLOUR' AND NOT 'CHOOSE NORMAL'!

Very nice first attempt! I'm impressed. I generally don't put much detail into the badges and most of the time you'll se i've just made plain maroon. I'm glad the tutorial helped someone; thats what i did it for. So are you interested in this sort of thing?

Brilliant thread this, some amazing Images have be done on this thread keep up the good work. I got Photoshop the other day and have been doing a couple of hearts images to get use to it and here is the first two attempts. Any thoughts and advice would be most welcomed still trying to master how it works. Thanks

Right, the first one is very good and doesn't need any work to it IMO. I'd say, to slightly improve the second one, Instead of just cutting eggert in half behind the floodlights, I would blend him down using the gradient tool and a mask. This is quite advanced so I wouldn't worry about that just yet. Keep up the good work and continue to post your stuff here. What version of photoshop have you got?

Thanks, just thought I'd have a go at it, I can normally pick things up like this pretty easily. I'll try and get some more done and put them up.
