Hugh Watt
I am working on a couple, here's just one at the mo... from the '56 cup final. Any requests are welcome. Original: New: Great stuff, I made an attempt to do this years ago when I first got a basic adobe photo editor package but got nowhere, and by co-incidence it was this same pic plus one other from the '56 final that I tried to do! If I was to be picky though, I think you'd be closer to the real thing with bare earth in front of the goalline instead of light green grass!!!! Scotland
how do you do it id like to try it myself. ? if you don't already have a good editor for photos, GIMP is very good...a free version of photoshop. just google it. 1. import your picture. 2. create a new layer. make one for every new piece...e.g. strip, skin, hair etc. 3. set the new layer to colour (any questions about that just ask) 4.colour it in...e.g. strip... use a bright maroon 5. go to the colour menu and select "colourise" 6. play about with the sliders until you get something you like. 7.do the next layer Tips: use bright colours and then darken them with colourise. Use a light brown for skin and then change to a good skin tone with colourise If you have any questions at all just ask. Fraser (Scotland)

I really like your attempt though Ally. The colour brings it to life but at the same time I really like how bold you have made it. It keeps the classic feel about it for some reason. It has an arty vintage look to it.

Agree with you alan, Scotland's work looks very realistic but I really like Ally's as well because it remind me of the type of retro watercolour you'd get in a Hearts boozer from bygone days.
