Scottish Cup Semi Final Ticket Thread - on sale Wed 27/3

Heart of Midlothian is delighted to give the following update to supporters with regards to ticket allocations for the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup semi-final.

The Jambos will meet Rangers at Hampden on Sunday, 21st April at 3pm with the game being shown live on Viaplay.

Yesterday, the club put forward a proposal to secure an equal share of tickets, guaranteeing Hearts supporters the opportunity to purchase seats in Hampden’s North Stand. We had to make an extremely strong case for our argument, given the size of our opponents’ fanbase and historic semi-final ticket sales.

We are, therefore, extremely pleased to confirm that our proposition was accepted, and both Hearts and Rangers will be given an initial 21k allocation of tickets to sell to our respective supporters.

We would like to thank the Scottish FA for their assistance in this process.

This gives us the best opportunity to have Steven Naismith and our players walk out onto the Hampden pitch to a sea of maroon, spread out equally and fairly across the national stadium.

The door has now been opened for as many Hearts fans as possible to attend and, hopefully, have a special day out. One condition of this agreement is that the club covers the cost of any unsold tickets from our allocation so it is in all of our interests to sell out and give the team the level of backing that Hearts fans are famous for.

Ticket prices are as follows:

South Stand Lower Section I - Adults £40 / Over 65 / U-16 £20

South Stand Upper Section H - Adults £40 / Over 65 / U-16 £20

North Stand Section D - Adults £40 / Over 65 / U-16 £20

East Stand Sections F & G – Adults £30 / Over 65 / U-16 £15

North Stand Wheelchair Users - Adults £22 / Over 65 / U-16 £12

South Stand Wheelchair Users - Adults £17 / Over 65 / U-16 £10

East Stand Wheelchair Users - Adults £12 / Over 65 / U-16 £10

On sale dates, criteria and hospitality details will be announced in due course.

There’s a simple way of selling a 50% allocation - just let all season ticket holders buy 2 tickets from day one of sales!  Followed by the same for supporters with 5+ loyalty points. Then one ticket for anyone with a purchase history!

Spot on. We're going to struggle to sell 22/23,000 tickets anyway so doing as you've described above might encourage season ticket holders to take a mate or their partner along and boost sales.

Doing the way we usually do discourages that as you're not going to then buy a ticket in the general sale to sit on your Todd.

Hopefully the club are thinking of things along these lines.

The club has done their bit, now up to the fans to sell as many as poss. A generous loyalty point threshold/ST holders being able to buy 2 would help.

Can’t see it to be honest. Reality is alot of fans aren’t interested when we play the Old Firm due to the likelihood of getting beat. Hopefully it‘s viewed differently this time by the support with us having as good a chance of beating them as we have had for a good few years.

Club has done well there. Aberdeen requested 50/50 and got pied, also got saddled with the half 12 KO 🤣

Btw Aberdeen have been refused a 50/50 split, only getting up to 19,000. This is based on them historically handing back tickets.

Only £20 for those with the most disposable income though 👍

It's funny but it's also piss poor once again.

Maybe with a better KO time they would have been able to sell more tickets.

But fuxk them.

Time to stand up & be counted Jambos, lets not give these any ammo to deny a fair split in future

The only criticism I have against the club this year is the pretty mental way they sell tickets for games against the old firm. 15 loyalty points threshold at Tynecastle and despite us having about 2000 tickets unsold for the league cup semi not putting the tickets on general sale. Fair enough for arguing the cause but surely based on the history they’ll not blow it by making it overly difficult to purchase a ticket

Hope we do, but its a stretch for a semi. Well done for getting them, now its up to everyone who can go to do so. Prices well up though, not going to help the case

Absolutely brilliant getting half the North Stand. Wonder if they will sell from D1 or D5.

Really hope they let adult season ticket holders buy 2 per account as that will be best way to sell out.

This would be good as I'll be in the on my Todd number as I have been for quite a few hampden visits and it definitely reduces the enjoyment.

Kinda split on this one. We have a decent chance of selling our allocation, Aberdeen would never have sold 50%. But then, should they at least have been given the chance to do so?

Shocking treatment of Aberdeen fans once again. In some ways ago cares. Hearts are now the third force etc. But would be good for Hearts/Hibs/Aberdeen to stand together against the Glasgow bias.

Well done securing a 50/50 split. We need to be doing all we can now to secure as many sales as possible, such as releasing tickets to everyone with 5 points plus from the outset, plus the option to buy 2 tickets each, discounted buses from Tynie, guaranteed ticket if we make the final etc etc

I'd like to take two extra non-season ticket holders (one adult + one child additional) on my season ticket.

We better sell them or it will be the last time.  Historically we’ve found semi finals against the huns challenging

Yup, feel we may struggle to sell and the club left to foot the bill.

The problem is we are trying to stop old firm fans getting tickets in our end. I reckon we'll sell about 18k, some will miss out due to not meeting the requirements but thats life. General sale will end up a disaster.

The fact it's a 3pm kick off should increase sales as that's much better than a 12.30 kick off, but I suspect it might still be a struggle to sell out 22,000 tickets. But let's hope the fans back the team in big numbers.

probably right, feel we would do well only asking for only 10 lps for this though, reckon theyll be plenty spare accounts if people need though

Do that though and its more than the allocation! Maybe once season ticket holders have purchased one they can open it up like this.

100% historically we don’t take more than 15-18k max to semi’s . We didn’t sell our allocation for the league cup either.

finals are never a problem

We know that, but 15 LP's was ridiculous and ott. How hard would it be to look at someone's purchase history and confirm they weren't a Celtic fan trying to buy tickets for the Hearts end?

I agree. That would've solved much of the problems v The Rangers last time. Folks who would've otherwise bought more tickets 1st tranche having to sit apart with many dipping out because of the drip-feed allocation. Also better seats getting sold later rather than initially.

Superb stuff Hearts 👏🏻

To anybody that’s lucky enough to be able afford it, hasn’t got any plans or arrangements that day, and wasn’t planning on going cause they don’t think we’ll win, don’t be a s*itebag and get behind the team! 🇱🇻

You’re going to miss out when we pump them!

That also reduces the chance of Rangers fans getting some. A public sale, whilst good for non season ticket Hearts fans, could descend into a similar situation that Aberdeen had for the League Cup final.

This. If we don't sell out they'll use this as evidence never to do it again. Third force in Scottish football and can't sell half the tickets. Hopefully we can show we can do it!

Even if you think it was ridiculous and ott, they still ended up with tickets in our end. Blame the arseholes that want to sit in home ends, not the club!

It is not good for me or anyone going south with it being a later kickoff. Will mean getting home after 11pm on a Sunday night.
