Hadn't even realised the Monday was an option, thought it was Friday to Sunday.

Posted

Woeful kick off time imo. Battling traffic between Edinburgh and Glasgow to get there.

Why not make it the Friday evening if you’re going to have an evening game? Or have it half 5 on the Saturday

Posted

What a nightmare. Will still try and go but might be an overnight stay job. 😐

Well another one TV has ruled out for me.

Monday

Morton will be spewing too.

Great… off work the Friday and Monday this weekend just by chance. However, work on the Tuesday means I won’t be able to go, as I’m doubtful I’d make the last train back to Edinburgh after the game.

That’ll cut our support down by about 50%. Morton will be gutted.

Another silver lining, gives us 8 days to recover from Rangers, Hibs, Celtic, could actually be quite important

Farce. It was bad enough waiting til the Sunday for the Airdrie game. Gonna do the draw before the game again too?

Indeed.

Not all west coast clubs have clout.

No doubt the draw will be made before our game.

Maybe even 24 hours before at half time in the Hibs/Rangers game.

I love these folk who just come onto these threads a make random statements about nothing.

'Everyone who wants a ticket will get one' is another.

Thankfully walking distance for me but feel for everyone who’s going to have to try and finish work on Monday night and head through both Edinburgh and Glasgow rush hours.

Shambles.

Well 3000 is what Motherwell got and Morton want to give more if they can improve segregation.

You can find it. Look on Morton website.

Monday night 😡

What a shambles

Did the club have any input into this. Did they consider the difficulty fans would face.? I would expect our club to stand up for the fans and call this out. Totally unacceptable scheduling.

And steal your thunder? I've no intention of looking for it.

You would think so but doubt there’s much the club can do

Terrible day and KO time, when the draw was made the statement was ties to be played on the weekend of March 9 and 10.

Monday is the 11th and not a weekend day.

So totally inept from the SFA, both Hearts and Morton should let them know in no uncertain manner.

I'm very lucky. I will be able to attend as I am on annual holiday from work.

The day and time off KO still sucks.

Changes it from a decent day out for a quarter final at a ground we don’t play at often to a bit of a pain in the arse. I’m not convinced we sell close to 3,000 tickets for a Monday night on BBC. Not exactly a short drive and traffic far from ideal for anyone working till 5.

Rules 3 of us out.

Yeh us 4 too. Oh well, TV ****s the fans again.

How to totally ruin a quarter final ffs. Surely if any tie had to be played on a Monday night, it should have been the Celtic game!! Not a lot of travelling support and not too difficult to get to the match from Livingston. Who runs this shit show 😡😡

I think the reason it wasn't the Friday night is because of Morton and the fact they play Dundee Utd at home on Tuesday 5th. The Monday was their preference not having to face us 3 days after a difficult league match.

Exactly. We were never getting enough tickets for this match anyway. Morton fans been saying the absolute most they would be able to give us was 3500. The Monday will mean most who can make it will now get one but I'd still expect us to sell out no bother.

I expect the Semi final draw will be on the Sunday so our tie knows it before kick off.

As numbered alphabetically we'll be No 3 or No 4 -

C or L

A or K

H or R,

so number depends upon Hibs/Rangers tie. Hopefully lucky number 3....

Of course, then we have to win at Cappielow!

Monday night, zero consideration for fans travelling through Edinburgh and Glasgow during rush hour.

Another stark reminder that the SFA are no more than a bowling club level committee of blazer wearing ****s.

No chance them doing this to Celtic or rangers . Prime time for them

From a playing perspective, it suits us very well too, coming off the hardest week of the season.

It does make life difficult on a Monday for fans, helps us though in terms of recovery, for players.

Actually that's wrong as Morton are Greenock Morton so ignore me!!!

Are Killie fans similarly losing the rag at needing to get to Aberdeen for a 12.15pm Saturday kick off?
