Buses don't run between Paisley town centre and Greenock. If the trains are off it is possible that a Scotrail will run a rail replacement bus service from outside Paisley Gilmour Street Station as this is a busy route and there are a good number of people who work in Paisley and live in Greenock, and vice versa and travel by train. Became obvious we were never going to make it, turned back and went home. Didn't believe in God then but His divine Providence obviously saved me one.
