He's been awful recently but was one of our best earlier in the season. 

 

Think the games and his legs are catching up with him. 

 

He could still be an asset if used more sparingly however if rumours if him causing significant unrest are true then he should rightly be out on his arse.

 

He won't be missed on recent performances anyway.

Snodgrass is a quality player but when dip shit decided to make our entire play around him teams found it easy to counter that.

Signed as a free agent to bolster numbers during the Euro campaign (even though he couldn't play in it). Contract until the end of the season with his family still based down south.

 

Manager who signed him is emptied, caretaker makes it clear he'll only be a bit-part at best for the last 7 games, they agree to part ways now rather than him warm the bench for another 6 weeks.

 

Could be as simple as that.  Causing unrest? maybe, maybe not.

Seems as though Snodgrass drained what was left in the tank in his first couple of months with us. A shame if that's the way it ends. He looked a real leader to begin with and I know he socialised with other players in the squad, so being a bad apple doesn't seem to add up.

This will def be part of it, no matter how good your fitness levels are not having a proper preseason will be a nightmare as the season goes on. Someone the other day said we need to get fitness levels up as a first off. Trying to do that in April is just batshit levels of delusion.

You can’t just sack a player with his reputation and experience by deciding he’s a bad egg without cast iron evidence

Rumours seem to be that he’s left,  not that he was sacked.    Only 6 games to go, maybe just had an honest chat with Naisy and decided to head back South early.   Doesn’t mean anyone has fallen out. I think it’s a good thing if true as we simply need more legs and energy in the team,  he had become a luxury that just wasn’t working out.
