The White Cockade
Rest Barrie and Shanks Can’t afford them to miss next Thursday Would give Nielsen a run at CB Boyce up top with Ginnelly and give Henderson 30 minutes to make an impression

hearts00
Do we even have to do this? should we just play the reserves? If we lose by less than three it will be a miracle.
Shooter McGavin
I’d honestly not be too bothered if we played a half strength team to keep the rest fit and ready for Zurich at home. At the very least I’d keep McKay and Shankland on the bench.
Hungry hippo
Halliday is a cert to start IMO and decent chance Gino and GMS too. I'd like to see Neilson given a chance too although maybe off the bench to avoid chucking him in at the deep end.

Lets have some fun with it and have a bit of swagger and zero fear. I agree with resting key players because we’ve got a far more important game coming up but let’s have a wee go with a fringe team and see where it takes us. If it’s getting to look like big numbers we can bring on subs and try and shore it up so we’re not totally embarrassed. Id like Pollock to get a game. I think he’s excellent. Watt-Zeefuik
Flat bars of 4, no more than 15 yards apart. No matter what, keep your shape. Park the bus. Stewart C. Smith Neilson Sibbick Rowles GMS Pollock Halliday Ginnelly Ferguson Henderson I don't have any expectation that this is what we'll do, but a total defensive lock down could probably manage a 2-0 loss, which would be just fine, and would give them a taste of Celtic Park. tiger Rudi
Team: 4,4,1,1 Gordon Sibbick Neilson Rowles Kingsley Forrest Haring Devlin Halliday Boyce Ginelly Atkinson should only be used from the bench as back up for Forrest in a more advanced wing role. He still has something to offer in a more forward position in my view. We need Shankland, McKay, Grant, Smith, Cochrane to be ready to start on Thursday. They can be used against Celtic late on to keep them ticking over. Time for Gino to grab his chance, for Haring to bounce back with an improved performance and for Neilson to start getting regular game time to see if he has it in him to be the next Souttar. Given time obviously. He's not going to learn much in the Lowland league. He needs game time with the squad. Totally forgot about Henderson, a run out for Ginelly at some point. Edited August 19, 2022 by tiger Rudi Added Henderson.

BackOfTheNet
Can’t see anything other than us getting pumped. To get at Celtic you need to effectively high press for 90 minutes. With Thursday in mind it won’t happen (I suspect it wouldn’t happen anyway) We’ll sit in deep and lose 4-0. My guess is we’ll lose an early goal too. In larger scheme of things, not a massive deal, Europe is the main thing. But will still hurt.

karipidis
Gordon Smith Rowles Kingsley Cochrane Haring Halliday Devlin GMS Ginellly Forrest Has to be a balance between resting players, keeping players ticking over, and not resting so many players that it becomes 6 or 7. The above team means we rest the likes of Grant, Shankland, Boyce. Gives the likely back 4 that will play against Zurich a real test. Atkinson and Sibbick just can’t be trusted defensively. We will still lose but 2 or 3 nil unfortunately is no disgrace in the circumstances.
