Get a pint in Benidorm. 😄🍺🍻

Called un pinto out here in Andalucia. Even served in the old fashioned dimple jugs in my local curry house. Only difference from the UK is 1. Its better beer ( cruzcampo 4.8 abv) and 2. Its only 2.50 euros a pop.

Yeah that’s the same for Germany and probably Switzerland

Depends on the ticket type. For the type of tickets you boys will be buying, not necessary.

700 is what I saw and probably nearer the mark.

Zurich aren't expecting 1500, they are prepared for that number.

Zurich fans forum say they’re expecting 5000-6000 ‘home’ fans in total .

That's extremely optimistic for a weekday game that starts at 7pm. In other exile games we never had more than 5000, except in 2014 in the Champions League qualifier against Spartak Trnava it was 9000. But then our boys had a 2 goal lead from the second leg and the chance was huge to get into the Champions League and so to write history. Be optimistic about 5000-6000.

Why would you get a pint anywhere in Europe when they never had imperial measures?

I agree but in some tourist spots in Europe you can get a pint.  I never saw them in Switzerland where I was so was just asking, perhaps in the Irish bars in Zurich?  No idea was just inquiring in case any of the guys over there came across them.

Pwoper British pint glasses in my local Irish establishment but agreed, in Swiss places it's a "Stange" (pronounced schtanga) for 300 ml or a "Kübel" (coobel) for 500ml

Well that’s us just checked in at Newcastle airport for our long overnighter via Dublin to Zurich arriving at 10.30 am. So looking forward to this regardless of the sleepless night😳😳

They'll happily serve you a "pint" in Netherlands and Flemish Belgium, or at least they'll recognise it and call it that as they pour out a 500ml glass of beer.  🍻

minimum 3 hour train journey to the ground, depending on connections.

Reminds me of when someone, who shall remain nameless, estimated 4 hours from Amsterdam to Stuttgart after the overnight ferry. 9 hours later, we’re throwing bags in rooms and splashing water on our faces to head straight to stadium! Great memories, though. 👍

Yeah, got to factor in the bus from the airport to Basel SBB. Best of luck to those impacted. If your connection in Zurich is showing as leaving from any of platform 31-34, then be aware that these platforms are not in the main "bank" of platforms in Zurich HB (they are platform 3-18) so to avoid wasting time wondering wtf is going on, they are underground. I'd advise going down into the underpass accessible by stair/escalator from Sektors C or D of the main platforms. If you try to find platforms 31-34 from the "main hall" of the station it takes longer and time may not be on your side.

I’d be hoping 3 or 4 Jambos would jump in and share the cost of a taxi. Drive time is just over 2 hours, according to Google maps. Would burst the bank but I would hate to go over there and miss the game.

Oooh ya bugger. Hopefully the delay doesn't necessitate that as Swiss taxis are one of the few things I still cannot stomach over here after 10 years price-wise. Über perhaps an option in worst case.

Weve travelled far, by bus and car, and other times, weve grabbed an Uber.......

What do you reckon a 110 mile journey would set you back? We’re £3 a mile in the blacks here.
