I think we are all gonna be ok.

Noticed the Facebook profile pics have the Ukraine flag. If that can't fix it nothing can.

Just wait until Putin sees the Change.org petition.

Putin is modern day Hitler.  This is mental.  I wouldn’t put it past him to press a button.  Scary times

Putin during the address he gave the other night, intimated/hinted that everything is already primed and is ready to go, that the orders have been given and if anyone from outside gets involved (i.e: NATO) he'll just press the nuclear button.

The complete contempt and distain that Putin has shown for........well everybody, Ukraine, the West, the UN should as I've already said mean, that as long as Putin is in charge of Russia, normal relations, diplomatic, economic, sporting even cultural relations can not return to the way there were, until Putin is gone.

Didn’t anonymous say they’d shut it down?

I've seen stuff this morning - and it's brilliant : they're quoting their brexit poster boy and saying "not everyone in the UK is against the invasion".

🇷🇺🇸🇾 Assad in a conversation with Putin expressed support for a special military operation to protect the population of Donbass

"The Syrian President expressed strong support for Russia's special military operation to protect the civilian population of the Donbass republics, while condemning the destabilizing policy of the United States and NATO, which at one time led to a serious degradation of the situation in the Middle East," the Kremlin's press service reported.

All the most stand up, honest broker leaders flocking to slurp up to their hero. Not a surprise in any way shape or form.

It is a great site for links to other news outlets / articles. Also it’s almost immediate news and info as we have seen many posters on this posting tweets regarding Ukraine

Once again we have Chechen fighting Chechen as there's been quite a few fighting the Russians in the Donbass .

Kadyrov the puppet was always going to send men to help his paymaster .

That is some reinforcement. Does it say where they are headed?

I think it's doubtful.

There's  small numbers of Chechens and a few other disaffected groups from ex Soviet states already fighting in East Ukraine since 2014.

Yep with no help coming because we are too scared of the implications if we do help.

He and his family will probably be assassinated or imprisoned in the next few days. He sounds courageous to me, and despairing at the cowardice of the rest of Europe/USA.

I don't watch it so not sure.

I mean, it's fair enough, it's a Russian channel but it's just amazing to see how they twist things to fit their narrative and it's the complete opposite of what we are hearing.

They dismissed any reports of the Ukrainians fighting back, saying they have only seen them surrendering but then went on to state that there was reports of the Ukrainians shooting down a Russian jet (they added that it then hit a house, killing the occupants). They also laughed off any reports of Russian casualties.

I remember learning a lesson during the Falklands War.

The BBC had extensive coverage about how well the war was going and always finished with a clip of the false propaganda the Argentinians were being fed.

It turned out they were more accurate than the BBC for a large part of the war.

Within a few weeks there will be no choice for NATO. This is pretty obvious, but in the meantime we will see Ukranians fight their last breath on the Streets while we all slag off Johnson and Biden on social media.

Yes, the Argentinian Fascist Junta were much more trust worthy than the BBC 😆

What would you have us do ? This mess is Putins doing and our hands tied to certain extent. Shocking for the Ukrainians.

It really is a bit naive to believe that the West can become directly involved in a hot war against Russia.  Doing so brings a dangerously high chance of escalation to the top weaponry.  The big kahuna.  Unfortunately it's a madman in charge and there's no guarantee that there are sufficient failsafes to prevent him.  Both sides know it.  Putin is using it to his advantage.  Zelensky should also know it but his pleading is in vain.  Don't blame him though.  He's in an impossible position.

Absolutely mate but the alternative to sanctions at the moment doesn’t bare thinking about. As Victorian said above, we are dealing with a madman. I just hope when this is over it is never forgotten and the sanctions continue for a long long time and way past whoever is bankrolling the Russians runs dry.

The problem we and every other country opposed to this is mutual self destruction. When a mad man has the nuclear Arsenal that Putin has and says he will start a nuclear war if you get involved then it must be a pretty frightening prospect to then send over troops.

So you'd have us do nothing. Tens of thousands are likely to die if the Ukranians fight street to street, and it looks like they will. The European Economy will crash and eventually Putin will extend his territory elsewhere, unless the Russian people kick him out. Meanwhile we'll be opening more transgender toilets and legislating against nasty comments.

Where was this level of outrage 8 years ago? Where was all the criticism and sanctions then? There wasn't the outrage because there was far too many naive Putin sympathisers. The lefty types who believe the UK/USA are wrong regardless of what they do.

If you let a bully test the waters and get away with it once, they'll do it again.

Comrade Trump is Putins biggest fanboy.

I’m not pretending to have the answers but just think about us going to war with a madman for a minute. A madman with nuclear weapons.

Yes we are limited in what the west can do unless we all want to die in an inferno . Simple as that
