Pretty honest appraisal from the management and presenters that other nations are ahead of us in the way they prepare, whereas in the past they all used to look at our preparations. It's there first serious dip since 1980 in the rowing. 40 years of getting gold medals is good going, we're bound to have a blip sometime. I have a feeling there will be a dip in the velodrome too. BMX racing and the Canoe slalom are 2 of the events that I really enjoy watching in the Olympics, and of course never watch them again until another 4 years have passed.
