In what way? :kirk:

I can't help but imagining the type of damage that the pelvic floor muscles of those lassies could do. :(

A wee bit quicker than GB's time, but GB had fight hard to get their automatic  place.

The Polish side looked comfortable  with room for quicker.

Defo, they won it be a few metres.

Whilst I know it is now incredibly wrong, probably "misogynistic", "sexist", "demeaning", "predatory", and part of male rape culture - I have to say the bottoms of these 400-1500m runners and the legs of the artistic swimmers are quite mesmerising...

Men's hockey onto shoot out. Belgium thought they had win but rearward given. Belgium save again and win gold.

Classic game between 2 great teams.

GB guaranteed medal in women's pole vault. Colour to be decided.

Bronze it is.

I've got the women's pole vault on and, when the Russian lass bugged out, I heard the commentator saying, "Oh, the first crack has appeared!" I rewound and paused but can only conclude that the TV commentators must have additional camera angles.

Nonsense.

An appreciation of the female form is completely natural.

One of our regular posters may not entirely agree👀

He's busy with his own appreciation on the memes thread.

I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek, not just D-in-hand! 😇😈

The cameraman for the Women's Poe Vault is in my camp, judging by the way he followed the winner into the stands! Glorious!

😁

Another highlight of the day was the USA mens 4x100m relay team.

As Michael Johnson said, usually we make the final before we drop it or run out of our lane, this time we didn't even make the final.

They give gold medals away for anything these days.

I'm quite enjoying a lot of the more obscure sports tbh.

Didn't watch it so can't comment.

The sheila's climbing has been a joy, however.

Bloody dangerous sport that, they must get some chafing from those tight harnesses, I'd imagine.

Just saw the clip of the Kata Karate on the BBC highlights show and now the earlier comments in the thread make sense. The 'event' itself does not though. Assume this is a one time only appearance at the Olympics for this sport.

Shame for Lewandowski having to pull up in the mens 1500 metres there. Mind you he's had a long season with Bayern M and of course the Euros.

Underrated post, IMO.

Is this a joke by GB hockey team? 2-0 up and cruising and India score 3 goals in about 5mins

😡

Need a serious boot up the backsides at halftime.

Eurosport commentator.

Laurie van Reisen (sp?) has suffered concussion after a crash yesterday along with a broken collar bone and broken ribs so she has pulled out of racing today.

Think that's the one who took out Marchant in the Kierin. No one to blame but herself.

Laura Kenny and Katy Archibald crushing it in the Madison so far, though it is a race where strange things can happen.

Total domination.

Couple of quick thoughts on the cycling Gold.

UK's 2 track cycling Golds so far are in endurance events. Katie Archibald is the top UK track cyclist.

Awesome racing from Archibald and Kenny. 10 out of 12 sprint's won which is unreal.

The work Archibald puts in makes her so difficult to compete with and Laura Kenny just sprinted away.

Double gold for Archibald which is great to see.

There’ll be a lot of Dundee Utd and Blackpool fans that are into the casual look getting excited over the Dutch cycling team’s Fila tracksuit tops.

As an aside I do like the commentary team in the Velodrome.

Agreed. Perfect blend of informative, excitement, accuracy and national support but without jingoism

The same though, going back to the studio and listening  to Sir Chris Hoy.

Could listen to him all day.
