I know he wants to be liked , who doesn’t ? But it’s cringey . He kind of reminds me of Martina Navratilova who was desperate to be liked by the crowds when she first started, but for a variety of reasons was quite unpopular . Then bizarrely she also morphed in a Chris Evert double, dying her hair , slimming right down , acquiring an American accent , all very odd and “ single white female “ territory . She didn’t seem to have an assured identity then. In fact she was polar opposite of Chris , butch , not that bonnie , “ commie” , and gay .
