The whole thing is just absurd clearly none of the super 12 did any homework ,no consultation with their own staff and fans , they were stupid not to try to get Sky onside as they sky used the full force of the media power to lead against the plan .

I think you are right with the top paragraph quoted but wrong within the 2nd. This will definately be on the cards again with 10yrs. 

 

The 12 also now know where all the battle lines are drawn in regards to the fans, media, and authorities. Speaking of which, the 12 know they have UEFA over a barrel now and I would put money on the Champions League becoming the Super League in all but name by the end of this decade.

I’m not sure why the Woodward announcement happened. He was leaving at the end of the season anyway and they’ve just announced...he’s leaving at the end of the season.

If the 12 teams want to break away and start a league of their own there is absolutely nothing any one can do to stop them. 
 

Now....there may well be ramifications for entering domestic cup competitions etc but they clearly aren’t fussed.

 

And if a player decides he wants to be employed by one of the 12 clubs there is not much FIFA can do.....there is the small matter of the freedom of employment act that supersedes some jumped up and crooked organisation like FIFA.

 

UEFA or FIFA do not need to recognise this new group as an official association but I doubt the clubs will care a jot.

Interesting question. If you sign something that goes against the rules of UEFA and your own football association it is invalid anyway?
