Greedy Jambo
Looks like Sagan came away relatively unscathed We were expecting a nervous and tense stage but this one became absolutely hectic after the intermediate sprint. I was feeling well, the guys, and especially Niels, did a fantastic job in keeping me safe and positioning me for the sprint. I was in a very good place in the final stretch to the finish line, ready to contest the stage, but, unfortunately, I crashed with Caleb Ewan. I managed to get up, ride my bike and cross the finish line but, of course, it wasn't the way I wanted. I hope all riders involved in the day's crashes are OK. Tazio
Brilliant. The winner nobody thought we’d ever see again. Bloody shame for the lad on the breakaway, but I love watching the peloton closing on someone with metres to go.
Boof
Fair play to the peloton for their timing but what a scunner for the Lotto lad.

Mikey1874
Cavendish summed up in his post match interview. Talking about technicalities and details including basically criticising other teams for not beating him. And he also respects how big winning just one stage at Tour de France is. Tazio
Beast of a stage today at 249km. The longest for over 20 years. Pretty much the length of a classic one day race.

Greedy Jambo
Best bit was when it looked like Carapaz was all alone, great ride etc, then a big group of them burst round the corner, Alaphilippe taking over him.
Cade
Shaping up to be a very interesting Tour, with most of the pre-race favourites having already been on the deck in the first week, clearly suffering and losing big chunks of time. Cade
Aye that one was a classic. Ended up having to jack up the finish line gantry to free the bus and save the stage. Apparently today's road block has been cleared.
